Chalet Hacienda is imaginatively designed with many quirky ideas & features. The original 'Bedouin' tent bedroom, complete with fake fabric windows is just one example of this! 2 bedrooms have en-suite showers & there is a mezzanine floor just off the living room. There is 1 shower room & a bathroom with a corner bath. The spacious living room has a high sloping ceiling with skylights, is rustically stylish & comfy with battered leather sofas around the fire. It has a separate dining room with an eclectic mix of furniture and nick knacks. Tucked around the corner, adjoining this is a well equipped kitchen, with plenty of storage, utensils & objects hanging from the walls & ceilings. Behind the chalet, it is a short walk, or if snow conditions and skills permit – ski, through the woods to the bottom of the Prarion lift, happily you can also ski back near to the chalet by following a woodland trail splitting off the “Aillouds” blue run & following this back to the chalet.

Notes to the rental rates

• Catering provided upon request: Breakfast, Tea & Dinner which includes wine is an additional charge per person per week of: £195 per adult, peak dates; £185 per adult, all other dates; children all dates, under 12 yrs £135; under 5 years £95; babies under 3 years £25. This extra charge also includes linen, towels and the final chalet clean.
  
• A cleaning and breakage deposit of £250 for all rentals self or fully catered is payable with the final balance and is fully returnable when you leave the chalet as you found it.
  
• Linen & towels also provided for self catering guests upon request; £15 pp per week.

Les Houches Village

With its spectacular backdrop of soaring peaks and sweeping glaciers, Les Houches combines the charm of a traditional alpine village with the splendour of high mountain scenery. There are some excellent restaurants and a few good bars in the village, but if you want serious nightlife you need to step out in Chamonix - stop by the Jekyll, a real old Irish pub with excellent food and music, the Wild Wallabies for something a bit wild and the ‘Garage’ for late night dancing until 4am.

Skiing at Les Houches

Les Houches has one of the most varied ski areas in the Chamonix Valley particularly suitable for beginners and intermediates. Enjoy stunning views of Mt. Blanc from the beautiful long woodland trails that wind their way down to the village. As well as being an excellent resort in its own right, the central location of Les Houches, in relation to the other Mont Blanc resorts, makes it an ideal base for adventurous skiers and boarders wishing to explore the whole Valley.

Skiing & Boarding in the Chamonix Valley

Covering 14 resorts and 700kms pistes, the Mont Blanc Skipass opens up an unrivalled choice of skiing, including some of the longest and steepest runs in Europe. In the spring the valley provides simply the best off piste in the Alps, including the world famous 26km 'Vallée Blanche'. From the ‘Grands Montets’ (3300m) there are loads of off piste options and challenging black runs off the glaciers. You can also ski down into Switzerland from Le Tour and the pass covers you for a day out at Courmayeur in Italy.
