The chalet and the separate apartment (on the same property but entirely separate with its own private entrance) are superbly situated in the traditional village of Les Houches just 10 minutes from the Alpine capital of Chamonix. Perfect for skiing in winter (next to the pistes and 2 minutes walk from the 2 cable cars) and alpine adventures in summer, the Alpine Retreat has a large private garden with spectacular views over the Mont Blanc mountain range. It is just a 2-minute walk from shops, 5 restaurants, a boulangerie, several bars and 2 cable cars. All accommodation is spacious, tastefully refurbished and of a very high standard. Free wifi internet access and satellite TV available. Please note, you do not have to be a group of 10 to enjoy the spacious farmhouse with its 3 bathrooms and 2 reception rooms; we often have groups of 4 - 6 people relaxing in the comfort of the farmhouse/chalet.

The Alpine Retreat has been completely refurbished to a very high standard. The chalet has 4 bedrooms + 3 new bathrooms + 2 reception rooms. Ground floor consists of an entrance hallway (+ ski, boot + clothes racks), brand new fully-equipped kitchen (with oven, cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher + sink) dining room with 1 large oak table + 12 chairs + open fire, a fabulous wood-panelled salon (with free internet access, TV+ satellite free view channels, video + DVD player), a WC + a separate shower room with a shower, sink + washing machine. Upstairs are 4 separate large bedrooms (one double, 2 twin + a bunk bedded room with 2 bunk beds), a large bathroom (with a shower, sink + WC), another shower room + a separate WC with sink. Outside is a large private garden with tables + chairs, which enable guests to sit and enjoy the most spectacular views of the Mont Blanc range. There is also a BBQ + large areas of private lawn to enjoy. There is ample parking space.

• For smaller groups who enjoy space and comfort why not book the chalet . You don't have to be a group of 10 to enjoy the space and comfort of the Farmhouse - we often have groups of 4 - 6 who enjoy this spacious accommodation.
  For all rentals, to confirm the booking please send a 25% non-refundable deposit together with your booking details. The balance of the payment should be sent 8 weeks prior to your arrival.

Travel.

Most of our guests either fly to Geneva airport (EasyJet) which is less than an hour's drive/bus journey away, or they drive from the UK (8 hours from the French ferry ports). Other nearby airports include Turin (1 3/4 hrs drive) Lyon (2 hrs) and Milan (3 hrs). Car hire is available at all of these airports. We can arrange transfers from Geneva airport if required.

Skiing Information:

The Alpine Retreat is located next to the pistes of Les Houches - a large family resort with skiing to suite every level of skier. Les Houches has more than 20 ski runs giving visitors miles of pistes to explore. The men's downhill world cup race is held here each year on the red/black piste that runs past the end of the garden! The 2 cable car stations, each located 2 minutes from the Retreat, as well as numerous chair lifts give easy access to the extensive skiing area that is on our doorstep. Over 100 snow canons in the resort make skiing back to the village/chalet a reality throughout the season. For those who would like to explore other nearby resorts, within a 20 minute drive are a further 8 major skiing resorts including Chamonix, Argentiere, St Gervais, Courmeyeur (in Italy!), and Les Contamines.
