Chalet Cascada is the newest addition to the Le Ranch/Hacienda site created by Marco Dufour. This is the grandest of the three with the main feature it's large open plan kitchen/diner/living room with huge French windows giving incredible views of the Mont-Blanc range, the garden and waterfall, after which the chalet is named, give the chalet an amazing amount of natural light. 5 Bedrooms contain ensuite showers or baths, with a mezzanine floor making one of the rooms suitable for a family or group of friends. There is also a bunkroom available for larger groups. You can access this chalet from a track off the Aillouds blue run and the Prarion ski lift, hire shop & ski school are only a few minutes walk away. This chalet is only available catered during the peak season dates however for the rest of the season it can be booked either as catered or self catered accommodation.

• A security/cleaning and breakage deposit of £250 for self catering rentals is payable with the final balance and is fully returnable when you leave the chalet as you found it.

The Chamonix Valley is a beautiful area to visit in the spring and summer months. Alpine flowers are in abundance in May and June. There is endless walking of all levels in the valley and on the hills and mountains. All the main ski lifts are open so you can enjoy the mountains without having to walk up! For the more adventurous the Telepherique in Les Houches (10 mins walk from chalet) takes you to the start of the main route to ascend Mont Blanc. Chamonix is a fantastic place for families with lots of activities to amuse children of all ages. Some of the most popular attractions include; The Luge (a concrete toboggan run), Montenvers train (a ride up the mountain to a glacier and ice cave), The Forest of Adventure (an assault course of death slides, rope ladders etc), Passy Lake (for beach, swimming, windsurfing), Parc de Merlot (Animal Park). Chamonix also has the usual facilities, ice rink, swimming and sauna complex, mountain bike hire etc.

Skiing Information:

The chalet is 10 mins walk or 2 mins drive from the chair lift and telepherique in Les Houches. Les Houches has it's own extensive ski area and is home to the Chamonix World Cup Downhill ski run. It is an excellent family ski resort with grades to suit all abilities with some off piste skiing. There are a number of excellent ski schools in Les Houches and good childcare facilities. Chamonix town is 5 mins drive with many extensive ski areas to suit all abilities. Do not listen to the rumours that Chamonix is only for extreme skiing. Les Houches, Brevant and Le Tour ski areas have miles of blue and easier red runs. Obviously there are also miles of black and off piste skiing as well!! Chamonix and Les Houches has many fantasic restaurants and bars. Check out the Chambre Neuf for Apr's ski- a brilliant band play every night around 5pm.
