Chalet, designed in the traditional 'chalet mitoyen' style, offering on a self-catered basis for your tailor-made independent holiday. Chalet sleeps 8 people comfortably. The chalet is arranged over three floors, offering privacy as well as communal living. Decorated to a high standard with the added comforts of TV (incl British channels), DVD, hi-fi, wifi broadband, microwave, wood burning stove you have everything you need to feel at home. The large garden provides an ideal area for sledging and snowman building in winter and is perfect for alfresco dining and BBQ's in the summer. Situated next to some woodland you can easily create that 'away from in all' environment to fully enjoy this picturesque suntrap.

The chalets are situated on a quiet, private road next to some woodland. It is a peaceful location with a private garden and convenient for the bars restaurants and supermarket of the village of Les Houches. And of course there are the mountains. With Mont Blanc on the doorstep, boasting the longest off-piste run in the Alps (Valley Blanche) any skiers and snowboards out there will be easy to please! Farther afield, Geneva is a 1hour drive away which offers many attractions including the United Nations and the Red Cross Museum. Annecy one of the most popular towns to visit in the whole of France is also a 1hour drive away. This picturesque town which has been likened to Venice due to its extensive canal system, is sure to please any shopaholcics wanting a day off from the mountains. For the food and wine lovers there are numerous quality restaurants in the region and with Italy 20 minutes drive through the mont Blanc tunnel there is something for everyone's taste & budget.

Cots, high-chairs, baby alarms sterilizers, toys etc are available on request at no extra charge. There is a babysitting service and a catering option. The accommodation is available all year round however in winter ski hire, passes, lessons and equipment can be pre-arranged. Owners live locally therefore and are happy to share their local knowledge to ensure you have a stress free holiday.

Nice, child friendly chalet

Chalet Gallois has a good location, a specially for children. The property was clean and fine for staying a couple of days. A little bit smaller than we expected. They don't mention on the property details, that Gallois is just the left part of the picture and the right side is another chalet. So a little bit confusion, because as you see the picture you get the impression that you rent the whole chalet, but it is only the left side!! That makes it very noise with your neighbours, a specially at night! But we had a nice holiday, despite the noise of the party on friday night!!

Owner's Response: Hello. Thank you for your comments. Firstly I am glad that you were happy with the cleanliness and location as these are very important issues when booking a property and we appreciate that positive feedback.
The chalet "mityon" in our description refers to a split property, it is possible to rent both sides of the property for larger groups between 8 and 16 people, however this does considerably increase the price.

With reference to the noisy neighbours this is most unfortunate, and quite unusual as we usually attract families and rarely groups of youngsters, but age is not always relevent in these issues. As the properties are self catered and simualry to hotels we have little control over who the neighbours are. However for future reference I will politely request that people do give more consideration to those next door . We appreciate your comments and the fact you have taken the time to place your review, as this can be a particular issue for those with small children.

I hope that you and your friends enjoyed the great snow conditions and sunshine and that this would not put you off another visit.
