Chalet Robért is a large, traditional French chalet set in the picturesque surroundings of Les Houches and sleeps up to 17 people. It is within 5 minutes’ walk of the Prarion lift giving access to the largest ski area in Les Houches. The chalet is laid out over three floors providing 3 double rooms (2 of which are ensuite), 2 twin rooms and 2 bunk rooms (sleeping 5 and 2). There is a spacious kitchen and living/dining area on the ground floor with plenty of room to seat everyone. The lounge with its stone fireplace and modern entertainment facilities opens out onto a large balcony/deck, perfect for taking in the view and enjoying a few winter drinks or maybe a summer barbeque.

Skiing and snowboarding

Chamonix is one of the world's most famous ski areas, having hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels are well-served in a variety of differing areas around Chamonix, including Brevent, Flegere, the famous Grands Montets and Domaine du Balme. The Mont Blanc pass also covers nearby areas including Les Houches, St Gervais, Megeve, Courmayeur and Les Contamines, all within an easy drive. Slightly further afield, but within an hour's drive are Verbier, La Thuile, Flaine and Les Carroz. Despite its reputation as an area for experts only, there are plenty of green, blue and red runs to satisfy beginners and intermediates alike. For the more experienced, Chamonix has miles and miles of adventurous off-piste, including the famous Vallee Blanche, an 18km experience from the Aiguille du Midi down to the town.

With the draw of Europe's premier natural attraction, Mont Blanc, Chamonix never sleeps. Whether it's simply to soak up the stunning scenery or get the adrenaline pumping, there is plenty for everybody to do all year round. There are a wide variety of marked trails for hiking and trekking; well-maintained bolted routes for rock-climbing; limitless mountaineering opportunities including Mont Blanc itself; an ever-expanding network of mountain bike trails; some of the most consistent thermals for superb paragliding; raging white water rapids for rafting and hydro speeding; canyoning and abseiling down the spectacular valley gorges; golf at the Trent Jones Sr designed 18 hole course in Chamonix, as well as many other top quality courses nearby; the sports centre has an indoor and outdoor 50m swimming pool and a large grassed sunbathing area, water slides, numerous tennis courts, gym, spa, Jacuzzis, the list goes on!
