The chalet provides generous self catering accommodation for 12 arranged over 3 floors. The entrance hall with underfloor heating which is perfect for drying out boots, leads into the sitting room . This has a piano, lovely log fire, dvd and tv and cd player, two seating areas and a South facing terrace with stunning views across the Meribel valley. Connected to this is a generous dining area with a table which seats 12, and a modern, spacious, well equiped and efficient kitchen. The top floor has a double bedroom with balcony and ensuite bathroom, and 2 twin rooms with a shared bathroom. The bottom floor is similar to the top, with an additional separate wc. Skis are stored in the twin garages and there is ample additional parking. It is perfectly arranged for families or other groups.

The chalet is a 3 minute walk to the shops, restaurants and chairlift of Meribel Village. The lift provides easy and quick access to the main Meribel and Courcheval system. From there you explore the huge area of skiing that is the Trois Vallees, with the pleasures of St Martin de Belleville or the heights of Val Thorens on the other side of the valley. The main ski schools are in Meribel Centre and are reached by the regular shuttle bus. The route home is via a blue run which has good snow cover throughout the season.

Chalet La Tourterelle is a family owned chalet and is ideal for parties of all and any age who love skiing in perfect surroundings. Meribel Village has all the amenities, an excellent boulangerie, delicious restaurants, skiing back on a blue run which is minutes from the chalet. You can even ski to within 10 metres of the chalet depending on snow conditions. On booking we can supply a list of services to make your stay even easier including both ski hire and shopping delivered to your door.

My family and close friends have spent two fantastic skiing holidays at chalet La Tourterelle and are lucky enough to be going there in April 2009. The chalet is well laid out with the main living area all open plan which is great for large groups. The kitchen is very well equiped with everything you need to cater for a large group of people. The chalet is very clean with beautiful bed linen and a good supply of clean towels. The chalet is situated about a five minute walk to the lifts and bus stop and the local shop provides all the essentials. Finally, the view from La Tourterelle on a clear day is breathe taking and I can't wait until next April. I would thoroughly reccomend this chalet to any large groups particuluary with children of any age.
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Tourists without a Car

We have stayed in this Chalet for our annual Ski-ing holiday for the last 3 years and will do so again in 2009. I think that says it all! A really comfortable chalet in a super position with all the necessary mod cons. We have filled the chalet with friends each year and they all want to come back. Meribel village has an excellent bar as you leave the piste, just right for the first apres ski drink and there is an absolutely marvellous Boulangerie in the village square. Highly recommended as long it is not when we want to go there!
