Stay in our luxury Chalet with breathtaking 180°views of the mountains and valley for a LONG WEEKEND (up to 5 days), or WEEK(s). Located in the French alpine village of Morillon in the Grand Massif (inc.Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz, Samoens, Sixt) ski area with 265Kms of piste and is one of the best varied ski areas in France. We are 1 hours drive from Geneva Airport and 8 hours drive from Calais. Morillon is as popular in the summer as winter with over 900 Kms of mountain tracks for walking and mountain biking. Other activities include White Water Rafting, Canoeing, Rock Climbing, Via Ferrata, Horse Riding, Trekking with Pack Donkey, Paragliding, Hang gliding, Canyoning, Mountaineering, Pot Holing, Adventure Park (high rope tree activity for all ages) Swimming, Tennis, Golf, Trampolining, Quad Bikes, Water skiing, Nordic walking. Chalet Les Trolls is rented on luxury catered basis in the Winter. The chalet is available for long weekends, weeks & 10 day holiday breaks. We have two chalets next door to each other & so can take groups of up to 14. Free Local Transport in winter (You relax as we pick you up & drop you off at the lifts/ local bar - No walking in heavy boots!)

Morillon is a traditional french alpine village nestled in the mountains in the Giffre Valley. There are several excellent local restaurants serving savoyard cuisine, fondues, raclette, tartiflettes which are delicious. Morillon also has a bakers, butchers, supermarket, tourist office and shops to hire sports equipment. The blue lake offers safe swimming, flat cycle tracks along the river and a fantastic kid's adventure park. You can access the mountain by bubblelift from Morillon to ski into the Flaine ski area offering 265km of varied piste. Samoens is 8km away and is an ' Asterix' style old medieval town with lots of interesting shops & restaurants. The Giffre valley is beautiful in winter, covered with snow and the old savoyard farmhouses are decorated with twinkling lights for Christmas. In summer the pink and red flowers spill from window boxes filling the valley with colour. The valley is carpeted in green and the mountains look spectacular against the blue alpine sky.

Notes: The chalet is newly equipped to a high standard. For winter ski guests there is a drying cupboard to store your boots & gear overnight so it is dry for the morning! We offer a catered service in the winter season so you can relax and wind down after a hard day on the slopes knowing that your dinner is being prepared and your wine poured. Beer chilling outside! We provide a lift to & from the ski lift morning & evening . The chalet is safe outside for children to play in the snow and hardly any passing cars. Sledges are provided with the chalet and there is an excellent slope behind the chalet for Sledge races.

Ski: Morillon is in the Grand Massif Ski area which offers 265km of varied piste ranging from gentle, open beginners slopes to challenging steep runs between the pine trees offering spectacular 360 degree views. The Grand Massif Ski area includes Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoens And Sixt. The ski resort of Morillon has a traditional french atmosphere, with french restaurants serving savoyard food.The Grand Massif is well served with 75 ski lifts, overnight piste bashing and numerous snow cannons to keep the slopes perfect for skiing well into April. Ski passes can be bought in Morillon covering the whole region and you can hire your skis, buy your lift pass and access the bubble lift within an area of about 20metres. There is a bar/restaurant at the bottom of the lift and a pizzeria to satisfy your hunger if you can't wait to get back to the chalet! There are several excellent restaurants up the mountain to stop off for a hearty lunch. The telecabine at Flaine takes you to 2480m!

A week wasn't long enough!!

Just back from our wonderful holiday in Morillon, which was brilliant on all fronts. Not only did the snow hang around long enough for us, but everything else worked brilliantly. The Land Rover service was a godsend getting to and from the slopes without fuss and the top quality catering meant we didn't have to waste time shopping and thinking about what to have for dinner, when all we wanted to do was go out and enjoy ourselves. Which we did. Lots!
The chalet is described as "luxury" and "traditional", but it's better. Many traditional chalets are dark and unwelcoming, here the chalet is airy and light, the views are stunning. So impressed are we that we are considering returning during the summer period to explore the non-skiing parts of this unspoiled area. I saw signs for all sorts of activities including both river and air sports and of course you can just open the back door and go for a walk, for miles and miles and miles.
Add to all of this that Geneva airport is only a short hop, 40 mins. with traffic if I recall correctly. Great place, great chalet, great holiday. Cannot recommend highly enough, but leave room for us, we'll be going back.

A great family summer break.

We have visited the chalet twice now in the summer months. The valley it is situated in is quiet compared to the surrounding destinations like Les Gets. This aside, there is loads to do ranging from the very adventurous to the relaxed. We have enjoyed ourselves doing rafting, cycling, high wires adventure parks through the trees, treking to the refuges in the alps, paragliding and swimming in the lake, all with our children.
The chalet is spacious and well equipped with everything you can think of. The windows in the living area look out across the valley, giving breath taking views out all times of the day.
The amenities are of a high quality, with a small store in Morillion, and a large Carrefour less than 20 mins drive away. Lost of restuarants of all levels.
Well worth a visit though one week we not enough, so we went back again!!
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
