Situated above Samoens village, the chalet is south facing with stunning views taking in the panorama of the mountains and is 5 minutes drive to the Grand Massif Cable car. Spacious tiled lounge /diner, under floor heating and traditional French log stove. Private balcony AND private patio with BBQ.Fully equipped kitchen -dishwasher, freezer, microwave etc , breakfast bar. Laundry room. Ski cave. Four en suite bedrooms . Samoens is a charming Haute Savoie. Village , situated in the Valley Verte en route to Chamonix. . Originally famous for its craftsmen in stone, Samoens is the only Alpine village nominated as a 'Monument Historique'; its pretty central area contains the Jaysinia botanical gardens which draws day visitors each year. The village and isurrounding hamlets make an excellent base to discover this beautiful region in the summer whilst providing 260 kms linked pistes of the Grand Massif with 3 express ski lifts ......all within one hour's drive from Geneva. Notes: One of the twin rooms can sleep 4/5 and is often used as a family room. There is a sofa bed located on the upper mezzanine. Summer guests have a choice of leisure areas.......an upper patio area for barbecues while the private balcony is an alternative for summer evenings. Sunbathers can use the sun loungers in the pool/jacuzzi area. Both the heated pool and the jacuzzi have their adjacent shower room and toilet. For children there is a Large 'chill-out' Games room with miniature snooker and darts. We include the Logs FREE of charge for the French Log Fire

Chalet Olga is available for both summer and winter rental. It is suitable for all groups of people, families to small corporate parties. We can arrange transport from Geneva or Cluses. The Giffre valley is a wonderful place to explore and offers a large range of activities, both summer and winter. The access from Geneva is one hour by car. Samoens has a rural french charm and boasts a botanical alpine garden with over 8000 species of plants You can easily visit places like Yvoire on the shores of Lake Geneva and Annecy. The drives are stunning. The longest pothole in the world is in Samoens. Summer temperatures exceed 30 degrees Celsius in August, hence the swimming pool. WiINTER - Samoens links to Flaine and is part of the Grand Massif ski area, 240km pistes with good snow records. If you have a car you can also ski other areas only 20min away and you are into The Portes Du Soleil. Other winter activities include ice climbing and there are trails for snow walking on shoes or skiing.

Ski: The Skiing here is a vey good mix for all abilities. We had an instructor visit who thought the Black runs were Great. We have visitors coming back for the 14kms Green run,to give you an idea Skiied to mid April in 2005-Good snow

Fabulous property with outstanding views.
Everything as per description - couldn't fault the place.
We had a super ski break and would recommend to anyone.
Maybe one point to note that as we had no transport it is a steep walk back up to the property, which wasn't a problem for us, but could have been an issue with small kids in tow.
Hosts looked after us very well - took us back and foward to skiing each day which was much appreciated. Also arranged transport from the airport.
First class stay - many thanks
Owner's Response: Our 4 bedroom luxury en-suite Chalet has stunning views and sits 2 kms from the village of Samoens. It is a 20 minute walk downhill to the village, but we offer a taxi service for those who prefer this.
The sunny balcony looks over the mountains and the village, and there is a patio to the side for evening barbeques and alfresco dining .
The Hot tub is available all year round along with the pool in the summer and the sauna.
As mentioned we can arrange transfers from and to Geneva Airport and for those who have no transport, a twice daily lift [free] to the ski slopes and back .
This is only 5 mins by car

SUMMER. 2005.....The Horse Riding in the Sixt Mountains was great ,White water rafting is Brilliant-you have made Chalet Olga A very special place .Can't wait to come back.
