The 'Belle', a family-run hotel loved by regulars and first-time guests for its friendly atmosphere, boasts unforgettable views of Mont Blanc from many of its bedrooms and from the dining room and sun terrace. The photo shows the hotel in its fantastic location right next to the ski slopes. From the hotel you can ski straight onto an easy drag lift giving you access to the St Gervais/Megève 'Evasion Mont Blanc' ski area - 500km of ski runs covered by 125 lifts - and skiing back is just as easy.

Ski: The St Gervais Evasion Mont Blanc ski area is a linked resort with 125 ski lifts & cable cars covering 500km of piste from 1000 to 2353m in altitude. The area has some challenging runs, but is better known for its mid-level (blue and red) runs through woodland and natural snow basins. There is a snow park for snowboarders and there are ice rinks in Megève and St Gervais. The hotel is right next to the nursery slope and drag lift in Le Bettex, at 1400m, and is about 5 minutes' walk from the main cable car and ski schools. In Le Bettex itself, there is a creche, run by the ski school, and several shops and restaurant-cafés. The hotel has a small and lively bar, and for serious après ski, Chamonix and Megève are within half an hour's drive. For those who need a break from skiing, picturesque St Gervais provides an authentic taste of the Savoie region, with a weekly market and plenty of local produce on sale.

The friendliest best located ski hotel / chalet

I first visited here over twenty years ago ! The location is perfect for advanced and begginers alike with a nursery slope outside the door which links to the mid station. The staff are always friendly and the food is homely and filling. Rooms are basic but always clean. Night life is usually around the small bar, there are a few other spots to visit in the village too.
Its so good I have lost count how many times I have been back! Only an hour from Geneva , if you can get a room its ideal for a long weekend away.
