Beautiful chalet in St Gervais, France, renovated in 2003, ideally situated for winter and summer holidays. The chalet is furnished to a high modern standard with fitted kitchen,central heating, underfloor heating, and a traditional stone Savoyard fireplace. The chalet is convenient to both the St Gervais and Les Contamines télécabines (each a 10 min drive). The great summer facilities of St Gervais (outdoor 33m swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball, minigolf and creche) are a 15 minute walk away. The beach at Lac de Passy is a 10min drive. Chamonix is 30 mins by car. In summer the chalet is perfectly situated for activities such as climbing, hiking, swimming, mountain biking, parapenting and canoeing. The chalet has a private setting in it's own large garden, with a south-facing terrace, BBQ and children's swings. Magnificent views on the Domes de Miage mountains from the terrace and front windows. Geneva airport 1 hour by car; Lyon and Grenoble airports 2 hrs by car.

Le Bettex is a 15 minute drive away. The télécabine at Les Contamines is a 10 minute drive in the opposite direction. We spent 2 weeks in Aug 2008 and were 6 adults , 2 young children and a baby which the ideal number of persons.
Description on the web-site was quite in accordance with what we found that is to say :
- a spacious , confortable and well -equipped chalet ,
- with a nice and sunny terrace that looks out on the glacier
- a large garden with lawn all around the property allowing the children to play safely .
Place was quiet but a little far from St Gervais or La Condamine and a car is absolutely necessary.
Definitively , all of us we enjoyed our stay .

We yet again had the most tremendous time here. The Chalet is so comfortable and warm. We ski all day and to be able to come back to it and relax is so refreshing. Constant hot water and furnished like home. We did not even venture out in the evenings, the facilitys are such we did not need too. The kitchen is superbly equipped and cooking in it is a dream, even for 10 hungry skiers!!!
I so recommend this chalet, it is close enough to the shops and lifts and yet far enough away for total peace and quiet. We will always look to go back each year, especially as the ski-ing is so fantastic, probably because it is not a Chamonix which has so much nightlife. St Gervais is for ski-ing only, not really apre ski.

The location, layout and amenities of this lovely chalet make it great for families travelling with young children. It is very conveniently located and well set-up. It is spacious with a separate TV/living room and play-room and the bedrooms are very comfortable (the master bedroom has a great view). The open-plan kitchen is well set-up, clean and well-maintained with modern appliances. We would have no hesitation in recommending this chalet to anyone but in particular families.

We had the most tremendous time here. Tha facilities were excellent. Coming back to warmth and comfort after a days ski-ing was so welcoming. the chalet was well equipped and ideally located being close enough to town and the lifts whilst also being far enough away for peace and quiet. well maintained and clean, we would always look to go back
