Spacious chalet in the Alps with stunning views of Mont Blanc
Only 1 hour 15 mins from Geneva, Chalet Basile is situated at 1250m above the beautiful spa town of St. Gervais, with stunning views of the Val Montjoux, and Mont Blanc. The chalet is a comfortable and well-equipped home for 10 people.There is a large open-plan living and dining area, with a log fire, and TV/DVD; and an open well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs are five double bedrooms, three with balconies. In the basement is a storage room for boots, with washing machine and tumble dryer, table football and darts. In winter, it's just a 5 minute drive further up the mountain from the chalet to the ski schools, sledging hill and lifts of Le Bettex, taking you to the slopes and magnificent scenery above Megeve. In summer, you can climb Mont Joly from the door of the chalet, or explore some of the finest hiking country in the Alps. The town of St. Gervais has an open-air swimming pool and tennis (in summer), ice-skating, ice-hockey and lovely shops and restaurants.

Chalet Basile is situated on the mountain side at 1250m above the beautiful C19th spa town of St. Gervais-les-Bains. From the sitting room, the garden, and from the balconies of two of the bedrooms, there are stunning views of the Val Montjoux, and Mont Blanc. It is 5 mins up to the nursery slopes and ski lifts of Le Bettex, or 10 minutes down to the shops and restaurants of St. Gervais. The beautiful and ancient town of Megeve is a 15 minute drive. The surrounding area provides many additional skiing options - such as Les Contamines, Les Houches or Chamonix - all on the Mont Blanc pass. In summer there is some of the loveliest scenery and best walking in the whole of the Alps, as well as interesting, 'real' and historic towns. PLEASE NOTE: The mountain road and the private drive to the chalet are very steep indeed. SNOW CHAINS ARE ESSENTIAL IN WINTER.
