Chalet Eterlou is just 50 metres from the ski slopes and lifts of Tignes & Val d’Isere, arguably the biggest and best ski area in the French Alps. The Chalet is a 17th century building, just behind the village church. A 6 man telecabine is 50 metres away, and a chair lift is next door. The Chalet is completely renovated inside to provide comfort and convenience without losing any character or charm. Sunday arrival and departure possible

Location: Tignes-les-Brevieres in France

Nearest Airport: Geneva at 130 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Bourg St Maurice at 20 Kilometres
Chalet Eterlou is in the centre of the village set back from the main street with a snow filled garden in front of it. The lifts and pistes are just 200 metres from the chalet and ski school is 10 metres from our front door. The village has shops, bars, restaurants and ski shops all within very easy walking distance.

1550 m - 3670m: Resort details: One of the biggest ski areas in Europe, the 'Espace Killy' as the ski area of Tignes and Val D'Isere is known, has over 300 km of pistes. From Brevieres at 1550m to the glacier of the Grande Motte at 3670m there are pistes to suit all standards of skiers. 14 black runs,91 red/blue runs and 30 green runs. The off piste is legendary and provides a challenge to the best of skiers. For snow boarders there are 2 dedicated snow parks which have half pipes and jumps.

Tignes-Les-Brevieres: Tignes-Les-Brevieres is a traditional alpine village. The chalet is in the middle of the village and only 50m from the lifts and pistes. One can ski back to the village from December until the end of April. There are 3 sport shops, 8 restaurants, 7 bars, 1 night club, post office, cash machine, and a small supermarket.

Chalet Eterlou: The chalet is wooden throughout with an open fire down stairs in the open plan living / dinning room. The rooms all have their own bathrooms, some with showers and others with baths. There are 3 staff to cater for the guests as well as the owners who live in the village and are on hand to help with their local knowledge. A full cooked breakfast, tea and a 3 course dinner with coffee and mints after are all provided. Local Savoie wine is served free of charge with dinner. One night in the week guests eat out and the staff have a day off.

I can give no better recomendation of Chalet Eterlou than to tell you that we have been there almost every year since 1991! We thought we should try somewhere else, for fear of being boring, but we always came back to the place we love.

We especially appreciate its rustic charm and the fact that it is so close to the lifts. But most of all, we have come to love the friendly atmosphere and warm weclme we always recieve. Johny and Eliza are the perfect hosts, and their staff are so helpful. The food has always been great.

And, yes, of course, we will be ther again next year!

Wonderfully charming chalet in a nice little village only 1 min walk from the pistes, amazing ski area for all levels of skiing. We came with a group of uni friends and had such fun, really nice chalet staff and a good atmosphere in the village pubs...

I have been taking my children skiing since they were 6 years old, Chalet Eterlou in Les Brevieres has been and still is their and my favourite skiing holiday location. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, comfortable, delicious food and the most amazing skiing on its doorstep.

Just back from mid term week at this property in family party of 16. Facilities etc. were as described ,Its traditional appearance and layout, a pleasant change from high rise concrete blocks in neighbouring Tignes le Lac. three staff provided excellent service, fantastic food and great skiing advice Always lots of hot water for baths/showers. Can also provide limited ski and boot hire from boot store ,older equipment but perfectly servisable. Owner even provided transport to local medical centre for injured member of party. Local resturants cheaper than main resort, only used L'Armailly for one evening. Very Good meal. Acess to slopes v quick despite half term queues and Ski school in resort busy but well organised and office next to chalet A great chalet for those dedicated to good skiing and good food
