Chalet Hotel Nanook enjoys an exceptional location with the new 10 man cable car and ski school just across the road, the shops 50m in one direction and the outdoor ice rink and indoor swimming pool 50m the other way. Its south facing terrace, restaurant and balconies have amazing views over the ski slopes, L'Arcelle glacier and the Col du Mont Cenis towards Italy. In summer Chalet Hotel Nanook is an ideal base to explore the stunning mountain scenery of the Parc National de la Vanoise and try your hand at the many activities available locally from mountain biking to canyoning, fishing to paragliding etc (or just a relaxing game of table tennis in our garden).
Ski Area :
The skiing in Val Cenis with 125 kms of slopes is excellent for all abilities, with beautiful scenic skiing above and within the tree line. Pistes from 1400m all the way up to 2800m, 2 snowparks and loads of off piste possibilities. For beginners or those who like to take it easy and enjoy the scenery, there is the longest green run in Europe which descends for 10kms through the forest. For advanced skiiers who want a challenge there are tremendous off piste opportunities all the way up to 3400m with a vertical drop of 4600ft back to the village. Ski back in front of the hotel (taking your skis off just to cross the road!)and enjoy an apres ski drink in our cosy terrace bar
