Photos and Description of this Val d'Isere holiday chalet 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom, sleeps a maximum of 11/12

The chalet is designed to sleep 11/12 guests in comfort. The sitting room has an open fire and double doors on to a terrace. Each of the four twin or double rooms on the second and third floor have ensuite bathrooms. The two rooms on the ground floor share a bathroom. The twin on the top floor has a third bed, the chalet can sleep a maximum of 11 adults in five double or twin rooms and one single. We only advise 12 if there are children in the party. The chalet staff live in and provide a continental breakfast every morning, afternoon tea and five evening meals per week. Part catered can be negociated. Older style chalet with fabulous food facing onto the Olympic mens downhill run. Brilliantly situated for ski lifts, main street, shops and bars. The chalet has a games room with table tennis new for this season. There is also an old TV and video/DVD player. Lovely cosy chalet which has a loyal following!

Location: Val d'Isere in France

Nearest Train: Bourg St Maurice at 29 Kilometres
Car: not necessary
The chalet is in the centre of town just off the main street behind the bus station. There is a restaurant opposite and a bar/restaurant/snooker room next door. The nearest supermarket is a couple of minutes walk and the ski lifts less than five minutes. The chalet is brilliantly situated for the nursery slopes and apres ski and there is no necessity to have a car. However we do have parking for two cars outside the chalet, some weeks there is the chance of using one of our two underground parking spaces a few minutes walk away.

Cosy chalet in excellent location

This family run chalet is not modern or smart but has a lovely warm atmosphere and is so close to the skiing and the shopping that you certainly do not need a car. My family and I stayed there this March and also the same week last year. We will be coming again next season! The standard of catering is very good and the chalet couple helpful and friendly. There is a sometime noisy bar next door but it did not upset us, my kids loved to be there playing pool!

Wonderful chalet, centrally positioned

Really looking forward to going back again in January 2010, particularly as I hear that the chalet has been refurbished over the summer. You really can't get a better position in Val - 2 mins from the town centre, 5 mins walk to the main lifts.

I have been coming to chalet millega for about 20 years. The food and ambiance of the chalet is just what I want - a cosy atmosphere and generous helpings at meal times! The chalet is also perfectly situated for Val d'Isere night life and also for skiing ( 4 min walk) i can thoroughly recommend this chalet

We stayed there in Feb last year . it was a great place to have for us as we were with 6 kids ages 5-16 . The place is tired , and it would have good to have access to a washing machine , but the hosts a young NZ couple were very good .
The main disadvantage is the VERY noisy bar next door . We used ear plugs .
The main advantage is its location to the piste , and good value for a catered chalet in Val .
Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. Some work has been done on the chalet this summer so we hope it is a little less tired! The bar, I agree, can be a problem but mainly in high season. We have a good relationship with the owner and he does try to keep the noise down. This has become worse since the smoking ban in France as they tend to gather ouitside and talk. We have a barrier being erected between us and the smoking area, so lets hope it helps.
