Chalet Le Courtil is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in its own private large gardens in an established & peaceful residential area, yet is only 200metres walk by foot path from the shops of Chamonix. The chalet has extensive uninterrupted views of both the Mont Blanc range and the Aiguilles Rouges and is very spacious (250sqm plus a 60sqm South facing balcony) with five bedrooms and two living rooms. It also has a centrally heated self contained garden house which will sleep two more people plus sofa beds and folding beds for extra accommodation if required. It is located on the sunny side of the valley with exposure to the sun from sunrise to sunset. There is private parking for many cars plus an integral garage which is ideal for storage and maintenance of skis, bikes etc. There is a phone with free local calls and WiFi and assortment of games such as table tennis and a swing set. Several of the valleys ski areas are around 5-15 min walk away. The golf course is 5 min drive.

On foot, Le Courtil is 200Metres by footpath from the centre of Chamonix. It is ten-fifteen minutes walk from the Brevent and Aiguille De Midi cable cars and from two of the valleys Nursery ski slopes, Les Planards and Le Clos de Savoie. The free bus stop and railway halt are around the corner giving easy access to the rest of the valley. Chamonix is located in the corner of Switzerland Italy and France. By car Courmayeur is 20 min.away. St Gervais, Megeve and Les Contamines are 30 min away. The Grand Massif, Portes De Soleil and Verbier are 60 min away. The Swiss border is a bike ride away on the Col De Balme. Chamonix is an hour by car from Geneva airport. There also are a variety of scheduled buses and transfer services from Geneva airport to Chamonix. There are numerous restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, bakeries and gear/hire shops all within a very short walking distance. Both the Guides climbing crag/country park and the leisure centre/pool/tennis complex are 10 minutes walk.

  • The price is inclusive of local phone calls, wi-fi, fuel (inc logs for the fire) and in resort support, meet, greet and check out. Le Courtil will be cleaned and beds made with pressed sheets before arrival.
    Towels can be supplied at a small extra cost.
    A local Taxe De Sejour is collected at 90 cents per adult per night. (This also gives you benefits including free in resort travel on the railway and buses and various discounts, for example entry to the swimming pool, leisure centre and certain museums).





    We take a 20% deposit to secure the booking and the balance six weeks before the holiday. We can take payment by bank transfer in Euros, US$, UK£ or credit cards via Pay Pal.
  • Further discounts on the above price are available for smaller groups depending upon availability and tiime of year. By the same token there will be surcharge for large group sizes.

Notes: Wheelchair access is possible to the ground floor only. This has toilet and shower, living room and bedroom only. The First and Second floors are accessed by stairs therefore access may not be possible for the elderly or infirm. There is a full size table tennis table in the garden, bats and balls are supplied. Dining room/second living room with open fire and patio doors to: 60 SqM South facing balcony with electric sunshade. Bedroom Two with double bed. Bathroom. Hallway and Porch to front door. Second Floor: Bedroom Three with double bed and two single beds and wash hand basin. Shower room Separate Toilet. Bedroom Four with double bed. Bedroom Five with double bed and single bed . Outside: Mazot with double bed, toilet and shower room. There is parking for several cars in a paved driveway set in 1000sqM of sunny private gardens.

Local Facilities and activities: The Chalet is 2 min walk from Chamonix centre, 5-10 min walk from the Brevent cable car, 5 min walk from the Aiguille De Midi cable car and 10-15 min walk from two of the valleys nursery ski slopes, Les Planards and Le Savoy. (In the summer the Planards has a wide range of family activities, such as summer luge and children park with trampolines). It is also about 10min walk away from the leisure centre (indoor/outdoor swimming, tennis, climbing wall etc) and about 10min walk from the famous Guides climbing crag which is set in a country park with a fishing lake, family activities and cafe. There is easy access to all the trails either by bike or on foot. The free bus stop is around the corner and . There are numerous restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, chocolateries & gear shops all within 5min walk (including hire shops for ski/board/bike and climbing equipment). Finally the chalet is perfect for nature lovers with woodland birds, red squirrels, lizards & even Sanglier visiting

Further Information: Chamonix is very convenient for access as it is only 60min from Geneva airport by private airport transfer. Chamonix is world renowned for not only its skiing and boarding set in and around the biggest and baddest mountains in Western Europe, but also for its apres ski, nightlife and shopping (Chanel, Benetton etc). Think Vallee Blanche, or Grands Montets, home of the 'Steep and Deep', but not all the skiing is scary, there is plenty of less challenging skiing available, but all with the constant back drop of Mt Blanc. In fact there are two beginners areas just a few minutes walk from the chalet. There is also a lot to do for the non skiers, as Chamonix is a real town and one of Europes most popular tourist destinations. Finally our chalet is perfect for mixed groups and families, with toys, dvds and games for the kids and a big garden to play, plus a log fire or sunny balcony for the adults to relax in the evening whilst the kids watch TV or one of our many dvds in the TV room.

Golf: This 18 hole golf course lies at the foot of Mont Blanc in the village of Le Praz between Chamonix and Argentiere. It is often referred to as one of the most beautiful in Europe. Designed by Robert Trent Jones senior and set amongst alpine peaks the par 72.5 course boasts a combination of strategy and subtlety. The river Arve winds it way through part of the course and no score should be thought safe until you put into the 18th hole. Pro shop and a 26 stand driving range (8 covered) It costs between £20 and £30 for a round in high season. No membership needed. There is a choice of 11 other courses within a 90 minute drive. Pass for 5 green fees at any of these 11 courses is £90. (04 50 53 06 28).

Following up your request for a review for our stay at Chalet Le Courtil in Chamonix last winter.
The chalet was absolutely perfectly located for us so close to the centre of the town for the ski bus and nightlife. We spent some time before booking searching for the ideal spot and found it amazing how many chalets that were described as close to the centre of Chamonix were actually miles away.
The chalet had everything we needed, the bedrooms were all great with very comfortable beds, the DVD collection went down very well and everyone came away saying it was one of the best ski trips of their life!
The skiing was also great, some reviews say that Chamonix's skiing areas are disjointed, but in fact it meant each day we skiied a different area and every run was beautiful. We particularly liked Les Houches and Brevant with the more advanced skiiers liking Les Grand Montets the best.
I'd also like to thank you for organising the airport transfers, it all went very smoothly. Also the people in your ski hire shop were fantastic and had everyone sorted out in minutes.
Again thank you so much for everything and making it such a fantastic holiday for us all!
ps we will miss the fresh bread every morning from the local bakery.
