Sports and Activities:
A wide range of sports and activities are available in the summer season. These include: parapente centre, bird-watching, including eagles and the newly reintroduced lammergyer, walking, archery, trampolining, gymnastics, petanque, table tennis, superb swimming pool complex,2 cinemas, via ferrata, roller-bladeing, VTT mountain biking, horse riding, white-water rafting, cannoning, fascinating local markets, cheese farm visits, and regular free entertainment in the squares.
Apres-ski and Eating Out:
Apres-ski is great fun in the bars and clubs of both Le Chinaillon and Le Grand Bornand. From Michlin Guide mentioned restaurants to cheerful pizzarias and authentic mountain restaurants there is plenty of choice to suit all pockets.
Winter Pastimes Other Than Skiing:
Guided snow-shoe walks, moto-neige, skating and parapenting on skis.
Ski:
210 kms of piste skiing in the Aravis range. All types of skiing available with pistes to suit all abilities, including the 2nd steepest black run in Europe. Queues rare. Good snow records and snow canons, the season runs from 15 December to 15th April but is often open earlier and later. Dedicated snow-boarding park, night skiing. Summer skiing available on the Mont Blanc glacier, 1 hour away.
Golf:
Local 9 hole course within 10 minutes drive. 18 hole course at Talloires with resident English Pro. 2 more 18 hole courses within 1 hour and 3 championship courses within 2 hours.
