At only 30 minutes to Grenoble you can sample the culture of Frances 2nd biggest cities. Activities on your doorstep. For the summer, the alpine lake; Lac du Montenaurd is a must, with an afternoon thermal wind guaranteed the lake is full of windsurfers, kite surfers and sailors. There are sailing schools on site and hiring kit is not expensive. There are a number of eateries around the lake as well as a cruising boat rides with an on board restaurant. There are kids playgrounds as well as a small swimming pool with water slides, and lots of perminant barbeques, all you need to do is collect some sticks and away you go.

Skiing Information:

The Resort of Gresse en Vercors is a beautiful little ski resort with approx 20 runs of all levels. The costs for ski sckool and lift passes are a fraction of the prices you would normally pay at some of the bigger resorts. For the more demanding skier you have a short drive to the resort of Chatreuse (1968 winter olympic resort) or slightly further away you have all year round skiing at Les Deux Alps.
