Winter activities: ski slopes 40 mins drive, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sledging, night skiing, races down the ski runs on giant rubber rings. Museums: alpine hunters, art, archaeology, automaton, history, hydroelectric, mining, natural history, resistance, science, sports/culture. Visits: famous caves, chateau, chartreuse liqueur making/tasting. Golfing: Isere/Grenoble boast 3 of the top 15 golf courses in France. Windsurfing: Lac Monteynard is famous for its thermal winds (10 mins drive). Ski: ideal family resort (40 mins drive) or 250km of France’s best ski-ing (60 mins drive). Bungee-jumping: ponsonnas bridge is Europe’s first bungee-jumping centre (20 mins drive).
Local Knowledge: - with family living in the Grenoble region for many generations our local knowledge is excellent and we would be happy to provide further information on any of the activities mentioned, or any others that you are interested in. When you book with us, we will provide you with a map of the area, further details of local activities (and distances), and detailed directions. Depending on your arrival date/time, you will be met at the house by a member of our family who will show you around and answer any final questions you may have.
Family Friendly: - the house is child friendly with a large cot, baby sleeping bag, highchair, baby backpack, fire guard, changing mat, steriliser, baby monitor, toys, games and nothing breakable at floor level ! If a second cot is needed, please ask, as we can usually provide additional equipment / facilities on request. The terrace, grounds and swimming pool are newly fenced and safe for children. The swimming pool is below the terrace and can be accessed by a gate that swings closed and locks automatically, so that only adults with a key can enter.
