Glyfada is the most cosmopolitan suburb of Athens. Only 15klm away from Syntagma square (Athens centre) and the Acropolis area. Glyfada is where one can have all kinds of leisure activities, the widest choice of Greek and International cuisine in the most sophisticated seaside restaurants, participate in a Golf Tournament and all that within walking distance from the apartment. Glyfada has the most beautiful coastline with many marinas along with the swimming areas. Situated in an ideal location for travelling to the islands or to the mainland - only half an hour's drive to the main seaports (Rafina and Piraeus).

Glyfada is situated on south coast of Athens and it is the most cosmopolitan place of all Athens. It is just 30 minutes from Cape Sounion, the lowest southern point, and 20 minutes from the centre of Athens. In Athens you can visit all the museums and Historic centre. Very close to Glyfada is the Lake of Vouliagmeni, about 15 minutes by bus, that you can swim summer and winter in the same temperature. (healing bath).

Notes: The apartment is a two rooms flat, one bedroom, with a queen size bed, ideal for a couple, and one living room with a big sofa that can sleeps 2 children,or adults. The flat is very cosy for a family. It is fully equipped, very centrally located, into Glyfada's square, with many shopping malls around it and only 5 minutes walk from the nearest beach. It has also a parking space. It is located on the 1st floor of a four-storey building. Many buses station for public transportation are around the apartment, and the tram for Athens and Piraeus also.

Wonderful location for an exciting holiday.

My boyfriend and I spent a wonderful week in Glyfada last summer (July 07). The flat was clean and presentable and the owner very easy to deal with. The location was perfect for walking to the beach, getting the tram into Athens (30mins) or along to the port at Piraeus (45mins). We took a ferry to an island for the day and hired a quad bike there is plenty to do.

Glyfada itself has a fabulous summer night life with plenty of restaurants and bars where you can sit out in the warm night air. The posher bars are a bit on the expensive side but there are plenty of cheaper places to eat and drink too. We ended up in a restaurant in the middle of a greek wedding it was a wonderful night!

The only downside is the noise at night - but if you're out in the evening enjoying the night life it wont effect you very much!

It was perfect for the two of us. I don't think the apartment would suit more than two adults and the noise at night might be a bit much for children but all in all it was a great week.
Owner's Response: You don't hear the noise of the street, any more, during the night, because I installed the windows with double glasses.

At Athens I was some times before, at a sightseeing-tour I saw a nice place - Glyfada. So I was very happy to find an apartment and decided to come here – it was a great idea, I found my personal oasis:
The apartment is well-equipped with inviting and cosy ambience, well cleaned and with the same comfort like at my house. The apartment is central for all traffic, a car is absolutely not necessary. All things for a pleasant stay are nearby. After a walk of not more than 5 min you arrive the beach. Before you are passing the main place of Glyfada with all stations of the public traffic also taxi. The station from the airport bus (X96) is also here, and for the tram to Athens city (Syntagma square directly), too. There are no problems with orientation – the apartment is surrounded by all. Also there are many different restaurants, supermarkets and the shopping mall or places for the amusement. For wellness/health there is the Vouliagmeni lake to approach by a short taxi-trip (thermal water). From the large balcony of the apartment I've had a look to a part of the sea and to the shopping mall or to the mountains.
For all activities only the time I stayed (one week in autumn) was to short - I will come again at this perfect place, really.
