A Fabulous Villa

3 of us stayed in George's holiday villa in August 2008 for a week. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and spacious including a large balcony. The facilities were good including a washing machine and large fridge freezer.
George and his family are extremely helpful with all of our queries and questions about the local amenities.
The villa is situated about 300 metres from a fabulous beach and local tavernas are not much further.
You would probably benefit from having a car here as Nea Makri central square is a good 20 mins walk away.
The bus connections for Athens are very good and we spent a wonderful day in Athens.
The only comment which is slightly negative is that the air conditioning unit is placed in the living room so at night in bed, it is still quite hot.
I would definitely recommend this villa and we will be booking this villa again soon.
Have as good a time as we did.

Very nice apartment in a very beautiful city

We enjoyed our stay in Nea Makri last week. It's a big apartment at the first floor of the building (the owner's house is downstairs) with 2 bedrooms, a living-room, a barthroom and a kitchen (and of course a big balcony like everywhere in Greece :-) ). It was very clean and you have everything in the apartment, even a bottle of red wine in the fridge, a gift from the host. The description was perfectly accurate.
It is 350-400 m far from the beach, which is nice, but it was a litlle windy. If you have a car, I recommend you to go in Skinias, 15 km away from Nea Makri where it's a very nice beach. The town of Nea Makri is very nice, with a lot of tavernas and shops. The nearest supermarket from the apartment is My Market (400m away). You can go to Athens by car in 30-40 minutes (depending of the traffic) and by bus in 50-60 minutes.
The owner was very friendly and very agreeable! He helped us with a lot of information about the sightseeings in the area.
