Nea Smyrni is a leafy suburb situated four kilometres from the centre of Athens, halfway between the centre and the beaches on the city’s southern coast. The new tram-line and a selection of buses are only a few minutes away from the house on foot, providing easy access both to the central sights and shops of Athens such as the Acropolis, Plaka (Old Athens), and Syntagma Square, and to the beaches, tavernas, marinas and other facilities of the coastal region. The port of Piraeus, stepping stone to the islands, is about 15 minutes away. Day trips to the home group of islands such as Poros, Aegina and Hydra are easy. Nea Smyrni square, less than one kilometre away, is a bustling cosmopolitan shopping centre – Nea Smyrni is famous as the location of choice for many TV personalities, actors, and business leaders.

Internal stairs leading to: Second floor - Two bedrooms with double beds, one with large single bed (one-and-a-half size) and balcony, one single bedroom, bathroom/WC, washing machine. Roof level - room with TV, video. French windows lead to the canopied roof area. Accessibility - Children are welcome, but we regret the house is unsuitable for disabled persons and the infirm due to the stairs. Sorry, no pets. Transport - No car is necessary due to the excellent public transport in the area - the new Athens Tram is less than five minutes walk from the house, giving easy access to both the centre of Athens and the coastal region.

If you’re visiting Greece in the summer, spend some time sight-seeing in Athens and Attika. Experience the cultural heritage of Europe’s oldest civilisation at the ancient sites and museums, visit the famous Acropolis and Parthenon Temple.
