Almirida is a small village ( fishing ) lying on the south eastern coast of Souda Bay approx. 20 minutes from the ancient town of Chania with its wonderful shops and the Venetian and Arabic quarters which have been lovingly restored. The surrounding area, with its picturesque villages, beautiful beaches and historical sites makes this one of the most worthwhile areas on the Island of Crete. The village has developed over the last eight years but has, nevertheless, remained unspoilt. Almirida is an ideal spot for those wishing to visit this beautiful part of Western Crete - it has two lovely sandy beaches and many Tavernas / Bars / Coffee and Gift Shops plus Mini Markets for all those essentials of a good holiday ! There are also many eating hostelries in nearby Plaka and Kokk. Chorio Villages. There is a wind surfing station at Almirida Bay for those who are more energetic ! Nearby there are rocky beaches for those Clients who like snorkelling. The nearby Village of Kalyves is 8 mins

Almirida is very close to Chania (Xania) once the ancient capital of this historic island. The village of Almirida makes an ideal location for almost every holiday type. The lovely sandy beach is an ideal spot for water sports. Along the sea front there are taverns / bars and restaurants. Almirida 'sports' two supermarkets. The house is situated on a quiet road just behind the sea-front and the beach front taverns. The villa is fully air conditioned and is also heated - we therefore are pleased to be able to offer this villa for rental on a twelve month a year basis. At the front of the villa is a swimming pool for the exclusive use of Guests at VILLA ALEXANDRA Car parking is at the front of the landscaped garden. THIS BEAUTIFUL ISLAND...CRETE

Given that it is one of the most popular tourist and holiday destinations in the med. It is surprising how so much of Crete is peaceful and unspoilt. On the coast we have beautiful uncrowded beaches. Only a few minutes drive away brings you to Stavros where the film 'Zorba the Greek' was made - here you will find even more tavernas !! History buffs will have more than plenty to keep them happy - on Crete we have many Minoan ruins and venetian treasures to explore. On Crete we have mild winters and long hot summers. The ancient City of Chania ( Xania ) is only a short drive away and is a beauty to behold - Xania has one of the most beautiful, Venetian, areas in the Mediterranean and many visitors to our Villas spend days wandering around the old lanes, shops, tavernas and boutiques which lie just one street behind the attractive harbour side which is featured on many photos of Crete.
