LOCATION: Almirida is only a short drive from the ancient town of Chania. The Village is an ideal location for visits to Lake Kournas, The White Mountains, Souda Bay and the Samaria Gorge. Taking a short walk along the sea front road at Almirida towards Plaka and you come to the Olive Groves - just outside the 'village plan' Here is located Tara's House with its swimming pool. The property is surrounded by Olive, Lemon and Orange Trees and is in a very secluded location, yet, not far away from Supermarkets / Tavernas and the sandy Almirida Beach where you will find horse-riding /swimming/wind surfing etc. There is a larger supermarket at nearby Kalives.
TARAS HOUSE: Tara's House is in a prime location - away from it all yet - near to life ! This House has been built to exceptionally high standards and is very comfortably furnished to a high degree. The fully fitted Kitchen has Microwave, full sized Cooker, Washing Machine and Fridge/Freezer. The two double bedrooms are fully furnished and there is availability for extra sleeping on the futon styled sofa bed in the living area. The Villa is fully air conditioned and is also heated for Winter. We can therefore offer this Villa for rental 12 months of the year. There is car parking available. The Villa is fully air conditioned and the price for this is included in the weekly rental rates shown on this and our main web site.
THIS BEAUTIFUL ISLAND...CRETE: The area in which our Villa is situated is the most beautiful part of the island. Here you will find hundreds of sandy beaches and coves. You are only a short drive away from Chania with its famous harbour side Tavernas and bars. Almirida is only a short drive away from Lake Kournas where you can swim, take out a pedalo or have lunch in one of the shaded tavernas by the side of the lake. Why not explore the Mountain area as you drive to the villages on the south side of the island? An ideal day's outing is to Palaiochora with its fresh fish restaurants. The entrance to the Samaria Gorge is only about 30 minutes drive away. On the nearby Akrotiri Peninsula you will find a water-park in addition to the famous Zorbas Beach at Stavros where the film 'Zorba the Greek' was filmed.
