Relax & unwind at the Olive Grove Villas, Crete in peaceful countryside surroundings with magnificent mountain views. Take a dip in our 8m x 10m swimming pool then bask in the sun on one of our large sun terraces. We offer a traditional self-catering villa holiday - perfect for families & couples. Our villas are well designed and furnished to a high standard with a real 'home from home' feel. Although car hire is recommended to get the most out of this wonderful area of Western Crete, the village of Chorafakia and its amenities are within walking distance. The village has 2 mini-markets, 2 hairdressers and an internet cafe, garage, car rental as well as bus stops and a taxi rank. There are 3 good tavernas close by and 4 of the best beaches in Western Crete. The wonderful old city of Chania is a 15 minute drive away and boasts a Venetian harbour with a large selection of fish restaurants as well as some interesting shops, restaurants and museums.

Each villa consists of an open plan kitchen/living area. The kitchen is very well equipped with a dishwasher, full cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, juice machine, toaster and plenty of good quality glassware and crockery. The following items are also in the kitchen/living area: Dining table & 4 chairs, settee, 2 easy chairs, a large coffee table, lamps, 20' colour TV, DVD player, CD player with radio, books & games. Bedroom 1 - Double or King-size bed, bed side tables, reading lights, double wardrobe with lots of coat hangers, a full length mirror, iron and ironing board. Doors lead to a small side terrace with a table and 2 chairs - clothes airer. Bedroom 2 - two single beds, bed side tables, reading lights, chest of drawers, double wardrobe with lots of coat hangers, hairdryer and a full length mirror. Doors lead to a small balcony overlooking the swimming pool. Bathroom - Power shower with full screen, cabinet & washing machine. Large covered terrace.

The Olive Grove Villas, Crete are a perfect family location, offering modern, self catering villa accommodation with superb facilities. Chorafakia is a small tradional village with good Greek tavernas, an internet cafe, garage, two small supermarkets and a hairdressing salon. The lovely golden sandy beaches of Tersanas, Stavros and Kalathas are a few minutes drive away and the wonderful old Venetian town of Chania is a mere 20 minutes away. Chania has a great selection of restaurants and tavernas and wonderful little shops can be found in the Venetian alleys of the old harbour. There are many wonderful historic sites to visit in Crete, the Ancient Roman City of Aptera is less than 30 minutes drive. The palace of Knossos and the archaeological museum of Crete make for a very interesting day out. Horse riding, scuba diving, golf, clay pigeon shooting, a water park and water sports can be found a drive away from from us. Western Crete is a perfect villa holiday venue!

Site security: Our site is walled and gated - great for families with children. We can also supply a child gate to the front entrance of each villa - when fitted - as long as the side door to the villa is closed, there is no exit point for a small child to escape as all other doors open onto closed balconies

BRILLIANT holiday - we couldn't recommend more.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at Villa Eleni in July 09 - we are a family of 5 with our 3 boys being between 1 and 6..

Tom and Claire were very helpful indeed and provided a cot, highchair and stairgate (the gate is off the terrace so our 1 yr old was able to get everywhere but the pool area). The kitchens are very well supplied including a dishwasher and washing machine.

Th pool is fantastic - it has a small area that is 1m deep that is perfect for small children and the rest is between 1.5 and 1.7m deep. Lilos are provided (thanks!) and there are many sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool. There are only 3 villas to share the pool so it is never very crowded.

The area is full of smal,l pretty beaches and has a number of beach bars and tavernas to eat/drink in.

I cannot recommend this property enough - we have already booked to go back next year.

Olive Grove Villas - fabulous accommodation

We stayed for a week in Villa Eleni (25/8/09 to 1/9/09) and enjoyed a truly wonderful week. From the very first moment, when we met at the airport by our hosts for short transfer to the villa, we felt very much at home. The villa was exceptionally clean and very well appointed with dishwasher, washing machine, air con etc. The welcome pack was just right to avoid a quick shop when you've just arrived.

The pool is delightful and remains perfectly clean the whole week through and the gardens are very pretty. Our hosts were spotted doing some early morning cleaning of pool and tending to gardens which rather explains why they look so good.

As for amenities in the vicinity shops, restaurants and great beaches are all in close proximity. However you do need a car but, at 140 Euros for a week from their local car hire representative, this is hardly expensive.

We would thoroughly recommend this villa and the fact that there are three villas in the location is just right. You don't feel alone but you certainly don't feel that the other villas are on top of you.

Hope you enjoy your stay there as much as we did!

Perfection at Olive Grove Villas

We were so impressed in April 2007, that we have returned on two occasions subsequently. Perhaps we are biased as we love the area and have visited regularly,staying at various sites. This is the best by far in our experience. Not too far from the airport. Chania is readily accessible for trips in day or night. Beaches, such as Stavros, Tersanas and Kalathas, to suit all tastes within easy reach. Excellent local Tavernas, apart from those in Chania where we enjoy Kariatis and Xani amongst others. The owners provide exemplary service and, could not be more helpful. We have recommended the site to friends and cannot wait to return ourselves.

Olive Grove Villas - Fantastic

2008 will be the third year we are spending at the Olive grove Villas. The first year was the first they were available , we were so impressed we took the whole family there last year. No sooner had we come back we booked again, but for June instead. Everything has been thought of a real home from home, and great hosts/owners who take a real interest in ensuring their guest enjoy their stay. Could not recommend them highly enough. As to the position it is a bit out of the way but not too much, it is closish to the airport but that does not intrude either. Plenty of restaurants, beaches and things to do are nearby. A car is necessary but the local Car hire company is good too.
Owner's Response: We try to improve our facilities year after year and hope that our valued guests keep on returning.
