Villa Neptune: A Little Slice of Heaven on Earth

Just returned from a 7 day stay at this wonderful villa. The photographs do NOT do it justice as it's even more beautiful in real life.
The starter pack was excellent, but do yourselves a favor: shop for the week in Chania or Kissimos before driving to the villa, as the way back is long and windy. Incredible scenery, but it chews up your day if you just need to get groceries. Also would recommend a 4-wheel drive or standard vehicle for the dirt roads & hills.
Elafonisi Beach is superb and should not be missed and we had a magnificent lunch at Koyzin Restaurant, a Taverna close by.
We didn't need or want to make many day trips as Villa Neptune is in such a beautiful, tranquil setting. Suggest a two week stay if you do want to explore Crete as there is loads to see (covered market in Chania is a one-stop-shop for souvenirs). Would have loved to hit the north east side of the island, but we were too jealous of our time to spend it in a car!
Bring your hiking shoes for the ridge behind the villa and climb to the top, marked by a huge, hand made cross for amazing views! Be sure to pack sturdy swim shoes for the rock beach at "Goddess Cove," (unless your feet are made of leather, it hurts!) which has the most beautiful, clear water to swim or just float in!
All in all this was a dream holiday for my 2 traveling companions and me (the 3 of us have known each other for 30+ years and wanted a special girls only vacation).
Thank you Innahorion Villas for what truly was the trip of a lifetime. I recommend to all who read this as well as to all of my friends. Although I do so with a bit of regret since I don't want it to be so popular that I can't get a booking next time!
I shall return!!!!!!!
