Villa Aspro is an EOT approved property. The Villa is situated in its own grounds of 2600sq m and has wonderful views through 360 degrees. Look North to the Grecian blue of Souda Bay, West to the White Mountains and East across the valley to Xirosterni. The spacious interior has been furnished to a high standard with much traditional Cretan furniture. There is plenty of car parking within the grounds. On the ground floor there is a large spacious living room with open fireplace and satellite television. Internally two steps lead up from the living room to a cloakroom with WC and hand basin. An archway leads on to a well equipped kitchen and dining area. At first floor level there is a master bedroom with en suite shower room and private balcony. Two further bedrooms, one double and one twin bedded share a bathroom. All bedrooms have air conditioning. Externally there are large tiled patio areas on different levels and a 40 sq.metre piano shaped pool. All areas have wonderful views.

Villa Aspro is located on the outskirts of the picturesque conservation village of Xirosterni. This beautiful villa with private pool nestles at the head of a valley with sweeping views across pine forests down to the sea at Souda Bay. This part of the Souda Bay coastline has two lovely beaches at the holiday resorts of Almerida and Kalives. These seaside towns, situated about 15 minutes away by car, have an excellent choice of tavernas, shops and mini markets. The market village of Vamos is just 2 kms from Villa Aspro and again offers , shops, banks, mini markets, two very good restaurants and a health centre. The unspoilt country location of this lovely house makes it an ideal situation from which to explore this beautiful area of Western Crete including the historic Venetian town of Chania. Drive East along the lip of another valley, with the stunning White Mountains providing a backdrop to your journey -soon you arrive at the long sandy beaches of Georgiopoli, .

French doors open onto a private balcony. Two further bedrooms (1 large double & 1 twin) have sliding doors opening onto 'Juliet' style balconies All bedrooms have large built-in wardobes with drawers and hanging space, bedside tables with matching table lamps and traditional Cretan dressing tables. Shower curtains have been provided for the en suite shower and in the bath. We don't like water everywhere! A hair dryer is provided. All windows have fly screens. With this facility, windows can remain open at night to allow the breeze to cool the air. All bedrooms have views across the garden and the rolling countryside down to Souda Bay.

Notes: As well as 6 pool loungers, we have provided a round teak table, six 'directors' chairs and a sun shade. Although there are not many steps, wheel chair access would be difficult after entering the villa.

The entrance to the grounds of the villa is gated with a driveway and ample car parking. The, piano shaped, 40 sq.metre pool is located on the coastal side of the house, to take advantage of the travel of the sun and the beautiful views. There are split level patios on two sides of the pool with lovely views across the countryside to the sea. The villa is maintained to a high standard. We insist on a no smoking policy within the villa. There are windows on all elevations making the interior light and airy. All windows and French doors have external shutters. Villa Aspro has Greek Tourist Board ( EOT) recognition, included are the implimentation of fire precautions. EASYJET now fly direct to CHANIA from GATWICK AIRPORT

Lovely, relaxing, beautiful views

We stayed last summer in July with our 2 girls, 6 and 8.
The villa was a pleasure, fabulous views, pool right outside the french windows so perfect for keeping an eye on the kids.
The villa was well equipped and very private and was looked after very well. Air conditioning (included in the price) and insect screens were a real plus.
The nearby resorts of Almerida and Kalives are low key, family friendly with pretty beaches and plenty of nice tavernas serving local Greek produce.
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this villa.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: We set out to provide a beautiful, clean and well managed villa. Although located in a stunning elevated position it is very private. This is an area in Crete of outstanding natural beauty. A quieter pace of life in a country setting with wooded hillsides and beautiful family friendly beaches within 15 minutes by car.
Ideal for families or clients wanting to explore the historical past of the island and/or its interesting wildlife.
The villa is covered by a Greek Tourist licence. We have complied with all the necessary requirements including fire equipment.
The formal and informal gardens around the villa are managed all year round. Large patio areas provide ample space to relax, sunbathe or read a book . The 40 sq.metre piano shaped pool is allows visitors to keep cool on lazy hot days.
