Set in a traditional Cretan village Vrouhas Vines has been recently converted and restored into 3 beautiful stone houses one of which is occupied by the owners. Vrouhas Vines allows the discerning traveller to be able to get as close to village life as possible while being only a short distances from beautiful beaches and all amenities. The Olive House is an attached 2 floor stone house with 2 double bedrooms, lounge/kitchen area with wood burning stove, large bathroom, mezzanine floor leads onto the balcony overlooking the pool which affords beautiful views of the surrounding area and village. The Vine House is a detached stone house on one level with a spacious open plan lounge incorporating a traditional Cretan seating area, one double bedroom leading to a large bathroom. Both properties lead into the lovely courtyard which opens onto a south facing pool. Cleaning, fresh linen and towels are provided twice weekly. Complimentary welcome pack. Vrouhas Vines is located in the North East of Crete in the Lasithi Prefecture close to the fishing village of Plaka. It is just over one hours drive from Heraklion airport. Heading from Agios Nicholaos the road opens up to a spectacular panoramic view of the Gulf of Elounda. Travelling along the coastal road, through the village of Elounda towards Plaka the famous island of Spinalonga comes into view. Following the scenic mountain route overlooking the crystal clear waters of Mirabello Bay you will arrive at the village of Vrouhas. Vrouhas and the surrounding area is famous for its many ancient windmills. Experience the real Crete by getting off the beaten track or take one of our many guided walks through the local countryside. Vrouhas Vines is ideally situated in that it has the ambiance of a traditional Cretan village and yet only minutes away from Plaka. Elounda with its beauty and charm offers an abundance of restaurants and bars.
