New, individual, architect designed property in stunning location overlooking Elounda and Spinalonga Island, 10 minutes from town with bars, restaurants & sandy beach. This detached villa is designed to maximise on the 180 sea views with superb views from all bedrooms, and balconies off the 2 double bedrooms. The villa is built with an open-plan ground floor, incorporating modern kitchen with dishwasher, f/f, marble worktops etc. A large terrace extends around the ground floor, providing outside dining, sun & relaxation areas. A lower sun terrace surrounds the 40 sq.m. infinity pool and incorporates a baby pool. There is a pergola here for shade. The house is environmentally friendly, with solar panels and a grey water system. The house sits on a 4000 sq.m. plot with many olive trees and is built to blend into the landscape, using local stone from the foundations & traditional arches. Air-conditioning is available for hot weather, with open fireplace for cooler days.

The property is situated on the hillside between Elounda & Plaka, about 200 metres above the sea with sea views to the Gulf of Mirabello, the bay of Korfus & Spinalonga. The sea views are spectacular offering an ever changing landscape. The picturesque resort of Elounda is 12 mins. drive, with its very good selection of restaurants, bars, shops, & sandy beaches. The villa is accessed by an unmade road of approx. 1.4 km. It is also possible to walk down a steep and rocky mountain path. Excursions can easily be organized to the Minoan palace of Knossos & other interesting archaeological sites. From Elounda, boat trips can be taken to the Island of Spinalonga - featured in Victoria Hislop's novel, 'The Island'. Crete has some spectacular landscapes & many of the Gorge Walks are renowned for their interesting flora and fauna. The Samaria Gorge is the longest in Europe and now a National Park. The vibrant town of Aghios Nikolaos (8km) is easily accessed by regular buses or taxis.

I know its been mentioned!! - but the location is stunning.
It is so spectacular its difficult to take it in - even after looking for a week. Elounda is a great place. We have two young children, and the beaches and friendly restaurants were a hit with all of us.

The villa was extremely comfortable, and I get the impression Nigel is constantly looking to improve things, which is good news for future visitors.

If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, in an unbeatable location, this is the place.

I have to say the villa was all we expected and more !!
The views over looking the bay and Elounda have to be seen to be believed.
The accomodation, the atmosphere, is absolutley wonderful, I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a get away from it all holiday.
The weather in late July and early August was 42C, so the pool was a huge benefit to us.
I would certainly hope to go back in the future.
Tony and Mandy are two of the nicest people you are ever likely to meet.

The photographs of this holiday home do not disappoint. We were over the moon when we arrived. The villa was beautifully designed and extremely comfortable with all the trappings of your own home. The pool was to die for with the most amazing views. We were also thrilled with the location as we found Elounda the perfect mixture of restaurants and bars without loosing the local feel of the fishing harbour. Obviously you will need a car to get to the villa and you need to be prepared to tackle the poor road that leads to the villa. The only negative were the mosquitos at night. They put us off sitting out at night to enjoy the views.

a fantastic place to relax

this is the perfect place to unwind. i spent a week having a wonderfully relaxing time. we spent most of our time reading on the terrace, walking down the path to elounda and swimming in the lovely pool.

Although it was may the weather was amazing with bright sunshine every day.

we stayed from Mar 20-29, 09 and it is breathtaking. If you want relaxation this is the place to be. The people are so friendly. One resturant owner says what is mine is yours and they really mean it. Would definitely go back. Thanks Nigel.
