Disabled Access

Our spacious apartments are suitable for families and couples, but we have taken special care to ensure that those who are less mobile can enjoy a comfortable holiday too. Both apartments at Serene Villa have been built with the Disability Act in mind to UK standards and are fully accessible. We were featured in 'Greece' magazine as one of 5 top accessible places to visit in the whole of Greece! The main town of Argostoli now has footpath access points and disabled parking spots. We have a vehicle with a professionally fitted Ricon tail lift and full anchorage points suitable for collection of guests using wheelchairs, from the airport. There are no steps inside or outdoors. Gentle sweeping paths lead down through the gardens to the pool, shady pergola and BBQ area. The pool has an Oxford dipper hoist and gentle steps at the shallow end. All doors are above 90cms wide including the large 'wheel in' shower room, which also has grab bars and optional shower chair.

Friendly advice and information is readily available from resident British hosts, John and Christine. We can recommend local tavernas, places of interest, suitable beaches, supermarkets etc or information required in the event of emergencies. We are your own personal British speaking reps! We live here all year round. This is not just another building with pool - it is our home! We love being here and have a growing understanding of the local culture and environment to share with you. Sample our home grown veg. Let us take you on daily guided local walks to spot butterflies and birds of prey. Join us in the evening for a BBQ and sit in the floodlit pergola. Come in Autumn and help pick our olives!
