There is now an apartment for sale!! Tarasun offers modern self-contained apartments with views over Poros, the sea and hills. Each is air-conditioned, insulated and fitted with solar panels and oil heating. The quietness is amazing. Meditation garden is located immediately below the accommodation. Communal laundry is available. A communal barbeque area situated at the end of the buildings with more relaxation areas sited on the terraces above the barbeque area. A cooling through-draft blows most of the day if the doors are left ajar, however fitted fly screens assist in visitors comfort.
Details for J1 in the Peloponnese, Greece
The open plan kitchen and front room allows access to the balcony from where the view of the valley and Poros are enjoyed. An electric cooker and fridge are fitted in the kitchen. Air-conditioned and centrally heated by solar or oil energy the temperature can be adjusted to your comfort. The apartments are fully furnished and have new equipment fitted. Balcony doors & windows are fitted with fly screens. A communal laundry is located below the apartments. A barbeque area is sited at the end of the apartments with a pleasant view. The painted walls and the tiled floors are easily cleaned. Leaving the front door ajar and the balcony door open creates a very pleasant through draft during the heat of the hot afternoon.

750 metres overlooking the coastal village of Galata and Poros Island. Tarasun offers quietness and tranquility. Galata is a 15 minute walk down the road and it takes 25 minutes to walk up. Poros is accessed from Pireus by Hydrofoil (1 Hour) or car ferry (2.5 hours) or by road via Corinth and Epidavros (2.5 hours). Galata is a 4 minute taxi ferry from Poros. Car taxis are available from the jetty to Tarasun. Beaches, cafes and restaurants are within walking distance however cars and motorcycles can be hired for touring inland or along the coast. TOP car hire phone Dimitrios on 22908 42443, fax 22980 42305. Most Greeks speak English or German. To get to Pireus from Athens airport either take the X96 bus (last fare for me was €3.20) or the Metro - change at possibly Plakentias or Syntagma but certainly at Monastiraki (fare about€6). Both take about one hour and are enjoyable rides. Ferry port is a short walk. Fly direct Dublin-Athens in four hours from 05/06/07 with Aer Lingus.

Attractions
The Saronic Gulf islands of Poros, Spetses, Hydra, Agistri and Aegina each have their individual characters and are worth visiting. Poros is a four minute taxi ferry from Galata and offers excellent beaches and watersports, quiet walks through woods, scenic attractions and a wide variety of restaurants and tavernas. Attractions include Posiedon Temple, Neorio bay, Monastery and Askeli Bay plus much more. Hydra is like a painting that has been placed in the Saronic Sea. There are no vehicles on the island(except for emergency). A boat tour round the island is possible or drive to Porto Hydra and take the 10 minute taxi ferry. Hydra has its water shipped to it from Pelopponese. Spetses is named after the amount of Pine trees growing there. The scents here are produced by the numerous aromatic plants. Access is by ferry from Pireus or car from Kosta - on the Pelopponese. Agistri and Aegina are closer to Pireus so worth a day trip to sample their characters.
Pelopponese
The town of Nafplio, the first capital of Greece, is an hours drive over country roads. The ancient citadel perched atop the hill can be walked by the fit and healthy. Nafplio has some good shops. Epidavros is a must for the visitor. The natural auditorium has to be experienced and it is possible to book seats on the granite slabs to enjoy the entertainers attired as ancient Greeks. Park your vehicle in the shade in the carpark! Discover 'real' Greece by hiring a car or motorcycle. The busy town of Tripolis in the middle of the Pelopponese is another hours drive past Nafplio. 10 kms from Galata is Trizina, this well kept village is on the way to Devils Bridge and Hippolytes Sanctuary. On your return call at Nicos Pottery shop and buy one of his unusual products. He speaks good English. You will not regret it! The area shows its Flora and Fauna, in my opinion, best during May before the days heat up. The author feels that a motorcycle is the best way to experience Greece.
Athens
This vibrant city deserves at least an overnight stay to sample its many and varied offerings. Experience and enjoy the ancient attractions and the night life..
