The apartment is on the edge of a quiet village with several good tavernas, a supermarket, a mini-market and an internet cafe (with great cakes and coffee). The area has many villages and towns with restaurants and tavernas to suit all tastes and budgets. Beaches, ranging from sandy through to rocky are close by.
For those with an interest in history and archaeology the apartment is close to both Argos, the oldest continuously inhabited town in Europe and Nafplion, the first Greek Capital and a delightful harbour town with many beautiful buildings and places of interest. The whole area is dotted with numerous ancient palaces, churches, castles and fortresses spanning 5,000 years. Nearby locations of interest include Mycenae, the magnificent theatre at Epidavros and other buildings and monuments from the Roman, Byzantine, Frank, Venetian and Turkish occupations of the area. Argos and Nafplion also provide a wonderful shopping experience and Athens is close enough for a day trip
