Set in a stunning hillside location, VILLA CALLISTO is a new bungalow style Corfiot house set in half an acre. There are breathtaking sea and mountain views from the house front and rear. The house has its own 9 x 4 metre infinity swimming pool and a huge sun patio fully equipped with sun beds and umbrellas. Overlooking Corfu famous golf club, and minutes from Aqualand and lovely beaches. Callisto (the name means 'most beautiful' ) has been built, furnished and equipped to a very high standard. It has central heating for cooler evenings and part air conditioning. 15 Minutes from Corfu airport. One of a small group of four properties.

Nearest beach at the resort of Ermones, 3 kms, and is an easy quiet drive to superb beaches of Glyfada, Paleokastritsa Pelekas, Aghios Gordis and the resorts of Gouvia, Dassia, Ipsos and the north. Near to the golf course and Aqualand water park. Sea views.

Electricity and heating included. Cancellation and early termination. If the tenant terminates the booking before the arrival date and does not name a replacement that accepts the same terms, they are responsible for paying the following penalty fees to cover costs.

| Notes: | Wheelchair accessible, as the living /dining area is open plan, with only the doorways to negotiate and wheelchair access to the pool area. In this case a vehicle to the door is essential. There are six sunbeds and two large sun umbrellas around the pool area. There is lighting around the pool and garden for evenings and al fresco dining. |
Central location
Good base for touring the island, being centrally located. Places to visit is surely must include Corfu town with its extensive shopping and dining. The Archillion Palace, Angelocastra, The Monastery at Paleokastritsa, are just a few of the places to explore.Why not take a drive up North to find endless quiet beaches and bays, take a boat trip, or better still hire your own boat! or Walk in the footsteps of the famous Durrell brothers. Take a sea plane to Paxos! Buzzing night-life can be found if you have the energy.Please note that although fabulous in summer, Winter weather is usually mild and wet. (Winter rental) Short winter visits of less than one month (inspection trips, Christmas, etc ) by arrangement.
Children.
For families with young children ( or not so young) the giant water park AQUALAND is very close by. A games chest, DVDs and books will keep your children happy when they have tired of the pool or beach. Transport
Car Hire is strongly advised, and we can recommend a very reasonable and reliable Car Hire company close by at Ermones. The company also runs trips of all kinds around the islands. Ask for details. There is a local Bus service that runs from the village, and also an all hours TAXI service. Local shop and bakery within 1km. Large Supermarkets from 1.3 kms. PLEASE REMEMBER - when booking your FLIGHTS that we cannot receive you at the villa before around 13.00 hours on the day of arrival. The villa must be vacated by 11.00 on your day of departure. Thank you for your cooperation.

Golf Information:
Villa Callisto overlooks the internationally renowned CORFU GOLF COURSE. Designed by Donald Harradine, it is a popular regular destination for many visitors. Praised as one of the best kept in Europe, the greens are among the finest in the Mediterranean. Open 7 days a week, it is as enjoyable for the scratch player as it is for the long handicap one. Small golf parties will be made very welcome. PLEASE NO SMOKING!

Taking the winding track up to Callisto from the main road, you tend to think a lot about some of the more disappointing holiday locations that you've stayed at over the years and how that some discriptions can be, lets say, a little short on accuracy.........
Villa Callisto is nothing short of stunning. Standing in the driveway on arrival, our two boys, my wife and I just stood there for what seemed like an age just grinning at each other. The villa and gardens are outstanding with loads of space, immaculately maintained and equipped with everything you might need. Margaret and John have considered every need possible and their attention to detail made for what was without doubt our favourite family holiday to date.
The views from the hillside are breathtaking and gave a real sense of seclusion. We hired a car for the duration and although this was a must, the villa could not be more ideally positioned to explore the island, nowhere on Corfu seemed "too far away"......and what better way to unwind after a busy day doing not a great deal but to relax in or around the superb pool which was well used every day by us all. especially Harry(9) and Ben(6).
There was plenty in the local area with what we thought were some of the better "sandier" beaches on the island and the fantastic information pack at the villa was very comprehensive and pointed us in the right direction for good restaurants and places to see and visit. Aqualand was firm favorite with our two, giving them some great memories.
I would not hesitate in recommending Villa Callisto to my friends and family, in fact, I already have.
Our sincerest thanks to Margaret and John for sharing with us your fantastic home and their staff (especially Sarah) for making our stay very special.
Hope to return one day.
