Spacious 2 bedroom holiday home with fabulous views over Kalamata

We had a wonderful 2 week stay at the Yellow House which proved to be a good base for touring adventures in the Mani & Messinia. There is lots to do and see - beautiful beaches and historical excursions are easily accessible and the historic sites of Mystras and Messene are in easy reach. Some adventurous off road driving too, if you are so inclined!
The house itself is well equipped - the air con & fans a godsend on hot nights. The view from the terrace roof is fabulous, great sunsets and skyscapes looking over the great sweep of the Bay of Messinia. There’s an array of comfortable furniture on the terrace roof, that makes it a great spot to relax. There is an impressive collection of books, DVD’s and CD’s and games for families. The house was clean and well maintained.
The house is perhaps best for self caterers in the evenings, as it's a dark and bendy drive down to Kalamata. However, the eating out tables at the house make this a delight, overlooking the twinkling lights of Kalamata below. Taverna's do abound in all towns when wanted and there are a couple in Elaiochori above the house.
The Owners live next door and were very friendly and helpful when needed.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Little Yellow house in June 2010 and what a week we had.
From the outset the welcome which was afforded to us was wonderful. And the welcome stretched to our welcome pack of food ensuring that we settled into our holiday from day one. Jackie and Pete the owners were very helpful but unobtrusive .
The house – ousing ‘home from home’, was equipped to a very high standard and very spacious with all modern conveniences which made for a very relaxing stay.
The small details – dvds should you grow tired of the outside views from the wonderful and spacious top balcony. Books to laze away the hours until you required another refreshing drink or wanted to experience another view from one of the many other seating areas!
The ambience of the outside seating areas along with the many panoramic views from the house made it a pleasure to stay and a sadness when it came time to leave.
We would not hesitate to recommend this ‘Little Haven of peace’ to anyone. Thank you once again Jackie and Pete (you have certainly found your heaven – go and share it with them)!

We have had a fantastic stay at the Yellow House. Kalamata and the wider area is stunning and there is lots to do for everyone. We were visiting with family for a wedding and there was lots on offer for young and old. Great beaches, good restaurants (especially if you hunt out the ones around the marina) and nightlife, as well as wonderful drives through the mountains.
The house is situated in a very peaceful location, making a car essential. It is well equipped and very comfortable and I recommend making full use of the roof-top terrace and its views. The owners are very friendly and helpful too.
There is a Taverna a short walk up the hill that serves very tasty food and is very reasonably priced.
Would love to return.
