This house has a delightful spacious, shaded terrace with an elevated view over olive groves to the village and the sea. It has a small terrace garden and large grounds which include olive and fig trees and two old stone threshing floors. There is a large, light and airy double bedroom with bathroom attached and a twin-bedded room, also with its own view, and a separate shower room. The sofa in the living room converts to sleep another two. Dining is around the marble table on the terrace. Stoupa is a small attractive village with two fine sandy beaches and clear blue water. It is an excellent place for a family vacation and for those who wish to walk in the Taygetos mountains (highest point 2400 metres), using old shepherd paths as well as marked paths. Although the beaches are within walking distance a car is advisable to visit other swimming locations and the surrounding fishing and mountain villages. Stoupa is 38 kms from Kalamata.

The village of Stoupa is located on the west side of the Mani peninsula in the Peloponessus. The Mani is a mountainous area with a dramatic and beautiful coastline. It is possible to make excursions to the Neolithic caves of Pirgos Dirou, to the ancient sites of Messenae, Olympia, Epidavros and Mycenae, to the Byzantine citadel of Mystra and to the towerhouses of the Deep Mani. Stoupa has two lovely beaches and many attractive restaurants and cafes. Along the coast there are lots of other places for swimming and pretty villages. In the mountains there are many delightful villages to visit. It is possible to hire cars and bicycles in Stoupa. The nearest airport is Kalamata which has direct flights from many western European cities and connections to Thessaloniki and Heraclion. From Athens it is about 5 and a half hours by car.
