'Marias' possesses the charm of a traditional Zakynthian stone-built house but with all modern amenities. It is set in one and half acres of mountain garden with stunning views of the Ionian Sea and the island of Cephalonia. It is an ideal place for those seeking peace and tranquillity. The main house has an open- plan living/dining/kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen & dining area has a large farmhouse table with seating for up to 8. The sitting room has 2 comfortable sofas set around a fireplace (the house is centrally heated out of season).There is a wc/shower room on this level. Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms, one with its own balcony, 1 twin bedroom and a further WC/shower room. Downstairs a covered archway leads to a large terrace perfect for al fresco dining & watching the sun set over the sea to Cephalonia. Steps lead down to a sumptuous 14metre pool with large shaded pergola. Table tennis, downstairs studio room, utility room with washing machine, garage.

The house is also within easy reach of the unspoilt beaches of Vromi and Makris Gialos. The family resort of Alykes with its long sandy beach offers watersports, supermarkets, cash machines and restaurants. Marias is the perfect base to explore this delightful island. Ideal for complete relaxation, walking and boat trips to the Blue Caves, Shipwreck Cove and Kefalonia (you can even hire your own boat to explore the hidden little coves with their azure clear waters), Marias offers all the charm of a quiet retreat yet with the hustle and bustle of traditional, family-run tavernas and village life close at hand. Zakynthos town which is approx 40 mins by car is a thriving busy town (charmingly chaotic!). It combines both Greek island architecture and venetian. It has local and (a few international) shops, restaurants, banks,hospital and museum. The port for mainland Greece which is 1 hour away by large ferry is situated adjacent to the town. The town has an outside cinema and a good nightlife.
