There are two twin rooms downstairs, with shower room, and the en suite double room upstairs. St George is a rather sleepy place which is totally child-friendly, safe and peaceful. Boasting some of the island's finest tavernas, you will never be far from delicious Greek food and the 7 miles of Blue Flag winning sandy beaches and crystal waters will please all those wishing to swim, toast or simply doze. A holiday at the Villa Mantis provides easy enjoyment in a village setting, next to the bluest seas. We are always nearby should you need anything or simply want a recommendation for the best local wine.

The Villa Irene is a one storey home with level access to all areas (ramp available for front entrance if required). Set back from the road by the lush, organically managed garden, the Villa Irene has three bedrooms - one double, one twin and one single - with a further sofabed divan in the large living room. The Villa benefits from a maid service three times per week and all bed linen and bath towels are provided (changed every 7 days). We can provide a full sized cot at no charge if booked in advance. We, the owners, are always available when guests are in the villa and can help with car hire bookings, advise on places to go and see, beaches to find and restaurants to visit. We see it as our job to ensure that you and your family relax and unwind and have a totally Greek holiday experience - our aim is to look after you and help you get the best of your time on the island. Rental rates for Villa Irene in Corfu, Greece

^*Please Note: The owner of this property accepts payment in the original currency specified, before use of conversion tool. The conversion tool is provided for your convenience only. The owner may accept other currencies if specifically agreed in advance.

Notes to the rental rates

• The weekly rental rates are per week, per property, for up to six persons. Prices do not include flights, transfers or travel insurance. Provision of a cot/kiddies toys/CD Player/TV etc. is made at no extra cost but should be booked well in advance. A separate, returnable Security Bond of £125.00 per booking is held until guests return to UK. Please note that we expect all our guests to be covered by adequate Travel Insurance and that they check their passports are all valid for the entire duration of their time in Corfu. We would also suggest that all our guests obtain a valid E111 form (available from all UK Post Offices), which provides for reciprocal state medical care in the event of an accident or illness.
  
• Prices include the services of a maid three times per week. She will change the towels, make the beds and generally clean through the villa. Should guests require a more frequent change of linen and towels, the owners will charge an additional £20/30 Euros per change. Please note that we do not provide beach towels and guests must not use the house linens beyond Villa.
  
• 40% of Total Rental Cost to be paid as Confirmation Deposit with 60% Balance payable six weeks prior to departure.
  We request and will hold a separate Security Bond of £125.00 which will be returned to guests as soon after their return home as is practicable. We can be reimbursed for small breakages and damage in person, whilst guests are on Corfu.
  Payment is accepted via £ Sterling cheque or direct bank transfer in Euros.
  For those guests wishing to pay in Euros, we advise that any bank/conversion charges are payable by the client.

Cookery Courses at Villas

After many years of entertaining our guests and their positive feedback, we have recently begun running Greek Cookery Courses based at our villas. Combining the fun of a Corfu Villa house party and the pleasure of enjoying the delights of real Greek food, our courses are a week long and include accommodation as well as all the cookery demonstrations, ingredients and at least one meal each day. The holiday is tailored to provide guests with plenty of time to explore the island, swim and sunbathe but we have arranged gloriously laid back, inclusive meals at wonderful tavernas, boat trips and even barbecues! We will not only cook food together but will eat and drink in good company for the week. Contact us for further details and departure dates.

Corfu The Island

Corfu (or Kerkyra, as it is known in Greek)is a beautiful and lush island set in the azure Ionian Sea. As well as offering some of the finest beaches and waters in the Mediterranean, there is a fascinating mix of history, elegance, tradition and culture to explore. As islanders ourselves, we would encourage our guests to find the time to leave the beach a little, and discover quiet, hillside villages where time has stood still, a wealth of small but delightful museums, a stylish cafe culture, fabulous shopping and breathtakingly beautiful countryside. We would be happy to point you in the right direction for a perfect deserted beach, the best silversmiths in town, the finest waterside fish taverna or to a simple picnic spot on the mountain. Whether you'd like a day's sailing, a round of golf or directions to the nearest monastery, we're there to help.

Travel On Corfu

So that you will be able to see as much of Corfu as you can whilst visiting, we would recommend you hire a car for part of your stay. Road signs are in Greek and English and are easy to follow. For those who prefer not to drive whilst on holiday, the rural bus service between St George and Corfu Town is reliable and inexpensive (air conditioned coaches). We know our local taxi drivers well and they would also be happy to take you where you need to go. Moped and motorbike hire should be considered with caution - if you are not used to travelling by bike it can be somewhat hazardous and helmets must be worn by law. You can travel to mainland Greece and neighbouring islands by ferry from Corfu Town (but there are also delightful one day boat trips from St George available).
