The Villa is situated off the main coast road in the village of Agios Spiridon, NE Corfu. It is five Km from Kassiopi, and four km from Acharavi, in a quiet location surrounded by ancient olive trees, not overlooked from front or rear. Situated on a quiet road with little or no passing traffic, it is only a short walk of around 350m to a Blue Flag sandy beach. There are three double bedrooms, all air conditioned and all with built in wardrobes. There are two bathrooms which offer both bath and shower, whichever is your preference. The villa has its own private gardens, a covered patio and a large swimming pool with outside shower. All the windows and patio doors are double glazed with inbuilt insect screens for your comfort, and metal security shutters for peace of mind and to keep the interior cool during the heat of the day. There are handy local restuarants within easy walking distance and a local shop for fresh new bread and other daily requirements just nearby.

If you would like a change to the idyllic quiet location of the Villa there are various attractions nearby, two Km NW is the famous water park complex just outside Akaravi, which is an all year round small town although geared somewhat to the summer tourist trade. Also the beautiful fishing village of Kassiopi is about 5Km east of the Villa. This village offers a mix of traditional Greek shops with many bars and restaurants. Various boat trips operate from the harbour to offshore islands. For those keen to sample the underwater delights there is a dive shop which offers diving trips in the clear blue waters around the local coastline. We, 2 couples from the netherlands in our thirties, had an absolutely magnificent time at this villa. We came here for a week of relaxing and thats exactly what we did. The house was very well equipped and spotless (never seen a pool this clear). We lacked a BBQ, but as we asked Jim (very friendly and cheerful man that takes care of the villa and grounds and "checked us in") where we might get one, he dropped one of for us, complete with every utility you might need and including home made burgers and sausage from the misses. Delicious. Nice little coastal town with tavernas at walking distance, but rent a car course theres a lot to see in the larger area around the villa. Oh and a small supermarket at about 50 meters from the house makes life very easy. All and all very, very enjoyable and comfortable.

The villa was excellent and well equiped. The swimming pool was very clean and men who serviced the pool and garden were very helpful, polite and efficient. Yvonne was also very helpful but our only comment would be that after a week the villa could have benefited with a clean through.

Villa Patrikos,Agios Spiridon

We found Villa Patrikos to be a very good property well provided for with an excellent swimming pool & in close walking proximity to the beach and the local shops at Agios Spiridon situated in a very pleasant area in the North East of Corfu.

The house had all the facilities we required and we were welcomed with a good opening supply of basic provisions & were well looked after for sheets and towels etc by Anne during our stay.

There are very good restaurants nearby in reasonably close walking distance - 'Harry's' place we found to be particularly welcoming (and with excellent food)!!


Trips to various places can be arranged from the nearby shop - including a trip to Albania (which we found well worth taking - the visit to the historically interesting Unesco site at Botrint is well worth taking though be prepared for the somewhat primitive and very narrow Albanian roads!!).

Corfu town is also well worth visiting - the old quarter & the new and old forts are particularly worth going to. Be prepared for very poor and limited car parking facilities however - one tip - if you travel to Corfu town early in the morning its possible to get free parking in an area near one of the bus stations and close to the port/new fort.

This is a fantastic villa which I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a private and quiet location yet within walking distance of some lovely little coves and beaches with great tavernas. The villa is very well equipped and the owners are great and really helpful. Corfu is very beautiful - I would recommend renting a boat from Kassiopi and visiting some of the little beaches down to Agni. Also, have a meal in Lawrence Durrell's former home 'The White House ' in Kalami.

Relaxation in Corfu

Hi there!

We rented this villa in late July 2008 and were very satisfied with the stay. The Owners were most welcoming and gave us just enough tips about where to go and/or do. The villa was situated not far from the sea and several restaurants in walking distance – but we recommend a car just to do some daily trips even though you could probably stay in the close area all the time, but Corfu have a lot to offer that is not to be missed - for instance old Perithia as the Owner tipped us about. The property was very well maintained, clean, nice beds and nicely decorated and the pool was very clean. Since we were to cook at least one or two meal a day we were happy to see that the kitchen was very well supplied. We would gladly recommend this for our friends and to have a relaxing holiday – please note that there is no television set in the villa. We did not need a TV since the radio had a very nice station tuned in. Along with some board games to enjoy -besídes all other things mentioned- we had a most pleasant stay.

I have to finish this review with a qoute translated from swedish so I hope it is correctly translated "After a whole day of relaxing it is nice just to take it easy before it is time to go to sleep".
