This spacious villa can accommodate 10 guests (12 by arrangement) in a one group or can provide separate accommodation for 2 families wanting to holiday together. The Walnut Tree has its own pool (10m x 5m non-diving) & is set in landscaped grounds of about an acre. The accommodation is arranged on two floors with 3 bedrooms (1 with balcony), a bathroom, a shower room, a cloakroom, living space with large kitchen area & a utility room on the ground floor & 2 bedrooms (both with balconies), one bathroom with living space & kitchen area on the second floor. This enables the villa to be used by a group of 10/12 guests or by 2 families wishing to holiday together. All bedrooms have remote control air conditioning. There is full central heating & wood burners on each floor. The villa has twice weekly maid service and the pool and garden are fully maintained. Outside there is plenty of garden and pool furniture. Guests are welcomed by our agent, Spyros Dorizas.

The Walnut Tree's central position on the island ensures easy access to Kefalonia's airport, the capital of Argostoli & other major attractions which include the cave/lake of Melissani, famous Myrtos Beach & the beautiful little port of Fiskardo. Activities available locally are sailing, diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, cycling, walking & a good deal of lazing about around the pool drinking in the beautiful views! There are plenty of delightful restaurants, bars & cafes within a short drive in Karavomilos, Agia Efimia & Poulata. Three kilometres away, the bustling port of Sami has banks, post office, medical centre, tourist office, supermarkets and shops. However, the charm of The Walnut Tree is its wonderful views of surrounding green countryside, the mountains and the sea.

The windows are fitted with excellent flyscreens so in the hot weather, guests can have their windows fully open - if they prefer not to use the air-conditioning. There is a good quality extra bed and a Crib/Cot available with all necessary linen, pillows and blankets. Each bedroom has a continental adaptor for a three pin plug. There is remote control air conditioning in all bedrooms.

Wonderful Walnut Tree

Our holiday at The Walnut Tree was perfect! Eight of us fitted sublimely into the convenient, comfortable, luxurious villa. The pool was ideal for children and adults alike. Everything was as described and well maintained.
The agent Spiros was charm personified and always ready to help. We were pleased that we took up the recommendation to hire cars at fair rates from Nikos who was very helpful and met us all twice at the airport.
Kephalonia has very many attractions so it is difficult to pick out one but we did appreciate being a short car ride to Sami to use the ferry to Ithaca. Likewise, there are numerous, excellent tavernas on the harbour though our favourite was the Dolphin with traditional music.
We would definitely recommend this villa to friends.

For us 'The Walnut' was an ideal place for a family holidays: beautifully located, quiet surroundings, excellently equipped, tastefully done.
My wife and I could not find a single shortcoming. Sorry for that!
Spyros was very active, the cleaning lady very industrious and the 'garden couple' very caring.

Walnut Tree House

We had a wonderful week at the house, easily accommodating two families with a total of six children. All the amenities needed to ensure a relaxing home from home. Property was very clean,well maintained with lots of local information from very helpful property manager who couldn't do enough to help. Would have no hesitation recommending to friends. Thanks Celia and Rees for a fabulous time!

The Walnut Tree, Near Sami

Happy Families! Derbyshire and Berkshire.

There were 10 of us, including 4 teenagers. The description in the property details was accurate. The property was spotless and superbly maintained. The owner provided excellent customer service. We would certainly recommend this property to friends. We received polite and friendly service in shops/restaurants. Food varied - some good some not so good but none we would highly recommend or not recommend at all. Visited Drogarati cave early morning to avoid crowds and this was a good move, in our opinion. We would recommend a drive to Agh. Sofia beach for a change, if you don't mind the windy roads. There is even a small family run restaurant here serving good simple food and cold beers!
