The Old Stone House is the last house of Vysitza on the road to Pinakates (left hand side of the road). From the road one can only see the a simple garden door with number 173, the stairs leading down the property and the stone roof of the house. Due to its location at the edge of the village the property is very private and can not be overlooked. At the same time the center of the village can be reached in 10min. walking distance.

Vyzitsa Old Stone house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Traditional Pelion stone house in Vyzitsa. The villa is elegant, nicely appointed and very comfortable. The view from the living room and the terrace is unsurpassed. It was a wonderful long weekend for us and our friends and we highly recommend for others and hope to be back ourselves!

Zwei Griechenland Fans

Als Griechenland Fans hatten wir nach dem Besuch vieler Inseln, diesmal Pelion zum Ziel. Wir hatten uns gut informiert und viel ueber die wilde romantische Landschaft und seinen alten Herrenhaeusern gelesen. Das Glueck wollte es, dass wir gleich dieses Haus kennen-und lieben-lernten. Jeder Tag war ein Erlebnis, mitten in der Natur, ein Garten mit bunten Blumen und mit Fruechte behangene Obstbaeume. Der Ausblick von jeder der beiden Terrassen war ueberwaeltigend. Links in der Ferne das Meer, rechts ein aufsteigender Wald und geradeaus eine steile Felswand. Absolute Stille, die nur in der Nacht durch die Laute kleiner Wildtiere unterbrochen wurde. Pelion ist ein anderes Griechenland. Das "Old Stone House" hat dazu beigetragen das es einer unserer schoensten Urlaube wurde.

The best place to stay in Pelion

We were two couples with three teenagers and we were very comfortably suited in the house. We had cozy evenings by the fire in the living room and private night sleeping in the bed rooms.
The kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The view from every window is spectacular.
We walked many trails in the area and on the other side of the mountain. The location of the house was perfect for any one-day trip because you can easily get to any point of interest in 20-40 minutes driving. The village has a grocery shop and in the next village, Milies, there is a very good bakery. There are also many restaurants in the area.
The owner is remarkably nice and cooperative.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

The Old Stone House is a wonderful idyllic and relaxing place to stay - in major thunderstorms and in sunny weather. There is an excellent butcher in Koropi and we recommend the excellent delicious spinach pies from the bakery in Milies. We will come again.

Wonderful holiday in a very beautiful house. Scenery gorgeous. Recommend archaeological museum in Volos and beach at Damouchari. Enjoyable intro to Greece - sure to be back!
