The villa is in an unrivalled position on the island for views and location. Megalo Horio village is less than 3 minutes walk away but Eden Villas retain the feeling of complete seclusion at the end of our private road. Built on 4 levels the villa has plenty of space for a family or a holiday with friends. The ground floor has one bedroom, a bathroom and the fully equipped kitchen, 1st floor is the spacious living room with shady bamboo-covered veranda outside the front door, perfect for breakfast time or evening meals. 2nd floor has two further bedrooms and the second bathroom and on the 3rd floor is the roof terrace with superb views of the mountains, Eristos Bay and the village, a traditional Greek whitewashed village built into the side of the mountain. The village has several tavernas, restaurants and bars, it also has a supermarket which supplies everything you could need for your stay. Eden Villa is a newly built property in the traditional Greek style on four levels and has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room with sofa bed and open log fire, separate fully equipped kitchen, roof terrace with stunning views, bamboo covered veranda by the front entrance and ceiling fans throughout. The villa is within a large walled garden with a private 10x6m swimming-pool, outside shower, wooden sun loungers and cushions, deckchairs, sun umbrella, BBQ's and drinks table. There is a maid service twice a week which is flexible. We can also provide beach towels during your stay for use around the swimming-pool or to take to the beach which saves precious space and weight in your suitcase. FREE WIRELESS INTERNET. This offers you unlimited use of the internet in the villa during your stay. Ideal for skype or live sporting events online. We also have a collection of board games and books for guests use. Tilos is situated northwest of Rhodes. Smaller than its more famous neighbours of Rhodes and Kos it is still largely unknown, because of this and having avoided mass tourism it remains one of the few genuinely unspoiled Greek Islands. Tilos has two main villages, Megalo Horio being the capital and Livadia the port. Our village is a 3 minute walk from the villa with restaurants and a cafenion but is far enough away for total peace and quiet. There is also a museum which has bones from a dwarf elephant, the remains of which were found in a cave nearby some years ago. Eden Villa has one of only four swimming-pools on the whole island is the only property for rent with a private swimming-pool. It is not overlooked and offers spectacular views of the mountains all around, Skafi valley below and Eristos Bay to the southwest which boasts the best beach of many on the island.

For parties of 7 or 8 there is a double sofa-bed in the living-room on the first floor. Ceiling fans and mosquito netting are in all rooms along with 'mossie plug ins' and spare liquid bottles. All bed linen provided; sheets and towels changed twice weekly. Cot, changing mat and high chair provided. All bedrooms are fitted throughout with handmade pine furniture.

The swimming-pool lights and pump are on a timer for maximum efficiency not compromising the cleanliness of the pool which is checked daily by us to ensure the best possible quality swimming water.

Eden Villas - just right for us!

This villa really gave us the holiday we wanted. It is in a beautiful and unspoilt location with plenty of lovely walks to do and you don't need a car. The house provided everything we needed and the pool was perfect. John is registered blind which can make some holidays a bit difficult, but we can really say that we encountered no particular difficulties and the proximity of Annie and Rob was reassuring.

Having Bournemouth airport so handy enabled us to fly to Rhodes. We had to spend more time in Rhodes than we would have liked but the ferry journeys were an enjoyable part of the holiday.

One unexpected plus from our stay at Eden Villas was meeting Annie and Rob - we feel we have made some new friends!

Tilos in September is wonderful.
Tilos in September staying at Rob and Annie's is superb.
As one person said "I you cant chill here, you cant chill"
For the money and location, i think you would be very hard pushed to find anything better anywhere.
And September is just one month out of a year.

We stayed at Eden Villas for two weeks in August 2007. What a joy. Having travelled around Greece every summer for 20 years, this was the best. The island is delightful - great food, drink, swimming, people, goats. This is the only property of its type available to let on the island - believe me, I've looked - and could hardly be better. Accommodation excellent, pool a massive plus, and a very short walk to a great village with everything you could want. Rob and Annie are the perfect hosts. The ultimate in Greek chill. We're going back in August 2010 - yay!

Tilos With Kids

Fantastic villa, fantastic location. As parents with 3 kids, our priority was the villa and pool and the weather and we got all 3! Swimming in the pool, you are not only are you flanked by gorgeous mountains but you can also take in a glorious view of the sea.

Villa: spacious with everything you need. Good quality beds too.The roof terrace at night just wonderful - shooting star heaven. Note: we've had problems with previous Greek locations with dogs barking at night. This villa's location only suffered sporadically from this and the owner's were aware. It didn't spoil our holiday and didn't keep us awake. Insects were few and far between - no mozis at all.

Pool: perfect. We based a couple of home days around it.

Tilos: it gets under your skin. We stayed for 2 weeks and that wasn't long enough. Our itinerary was not overly ambitious. Recommend the beautiful walk down to Nikolas Bay which you can do from the villa - you can swim there but the walk is better. Do stop and talk to the goat man and he may reward your interest with water melon and herbs. Also good is walk up to the Castle, also from the villa, great panoramic views. Do the buses, they're great fun.

Beaches: predominantly pebble-based with some patches of sand. We went to Livadia, Eritos and Plaka. As a family our favourite was Livadia as the snorkelling there was the best (and also the availability of beer).

Travelling: good luck with that. We took 24 from door to door and it's particularly hard on the way back! Well worth it though.

Rob & Annie: very nice, very laid back villa owners. They have an identical villa within the same compound and also make available one of their cars for hire on an ad hoc basis for 20 Euros a day. Our son had his birthday over there and they let us use their scooter to take him down town!

I stayed at Eden Villas with Rob & Annie in Tilos a couple of years ago and enjoyed a truly memorable experience. The villa is well located and enjoys a secluded position with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The villa is well maintained with a refreshing pool that is ideal for those balmy long Summer days. The main town has a friendly and laid-back atmosphere with an authentic feel of a traditional Greek island and basically a place where you can sit back and watch the world go by. Being an adventorous person who likes a taste for some solitude you simply couldn't beat a tour round the island on hired mopeds and take in the sights of a monastry on one side coupled with fascinating trails to real edge-of-the-world locations up mountain hills. The walking opportunities were fantastic and the views from the now dis-used military hide-out are breathtaking. At night, the cuisine is wonderful and varied. All-in-all Tilos is a real taste of Greek life and a week or two at Eden Villas amongst the hospitality of Rob and Annie is a sure-fire way to get the best out of it.
