Kinsale house is situated in a very peaceful location. The entrance drive is half a mile long with lovely scenic views.Close by is the 4 star Carlton Hotel with spar & lovely restaurant. Locally you will find the Bulman bar at Summercove which serves excellent food and frequently has music sessions, as well as the famous Spaniard pub which has been unchanged for decades. Kinsale town is close by and know for its famous gourmet centre with hotels restaurants and pubs all serving excellent food. We also have a weekly farmers market.You will also find a wealth of shops providing antiques, gold and silver crafts, art galleries and craft shops of all types. . Many people really enjoy the outdoor pursuits in the area which include fishing, board sailing golf, tennis and horse riding. All around are sandy beaches and country walks with historical walks at Charles Fort, James Fort and ..if you dare.. the ghost walk. Oyterhaven is close by for sail boarding.

Really getting away from it all

We are a family of three (teenage daughter and her parents) and had rented this property for a fortnight. Rita and her husband were so friendly and helpful! The apartment was nice, however, the single bed(s) weren't as comfortable as the big one. But we enjoyed our stay and all the animals around, especially a cute dog called Miss Lemon who lives nearby. Rita gave us fresh eggs from her hens. Unfortunately the cock started shouting sometimes around 5.30 a.m. - but we didn't mind...
