A good quality studio apartment in Kinsale with wireless broadband. In a large, quiet garden with own private entrance, patio and parking area - attached to the owners house (but quite separate) in a peaceful location - no traffic noise. An ideal base for a holiday in Kinsale with its angling, sailing and golf, or just to relax. Convenient for day trips to West Cork and Kerry. Comfortable self catering with well equipped kitchen area. Easy walk (about nine minutes or 500 metres) to Kinsale town centre, harbour and many restaurants - just twenty minutes drive from Cork airport, or thirty from the ferry port. Short breaks are welcome out of season, or as late bookings. The studio is available at a competitive rate for a long winter let. The owner is a professional TEFL teacher - lessons are available by arrangement.

Kinsale is a small historic town on the south coast of Ireland, known for its restaurants, sailing, golf and angling. West of Kinsale are the beautiful coastline and mountains of West Cork and Kerry. Cork airport is 20 minutes by car and there are daily flights with Ryanair, Bmibaby, Aer Lingus and others. Locally there are three golf courses and several more within easy driving range (see below). Outdoor activities are well catered for: popular surfing and Blue Flag swimming beaches are only 15 minutes away (with good bass angling). Whale watching trips run every evening in the summer. Several charter angling boats operate from Kinsale and there is seasonal salmon fishing on the River Bandon. Sailing, angling, wind surfing, kayaking, riding and rock climbing can all be organised, or relax with some art, pottery or yoga lessons. Our studio accommodation is an ideal base for a self catered holiday in West Cork - quiet and private, but convenient for everything you need.

  • Our studio offers a very nice standard of accommodation. The price represents an attempt to give good value to our guests and is the total price for two ; there are no supplements.The studio space is very comfortable for two people, but three do occasionally stay for a week or longer when an extra single bed can be added. Guests often use the futon for one or two children for a night or two. A 15 Euro per night, or 80 Euro per week, supplement is necessary if three are staying.
    15% booking deposit please (refundable if re-let).
    Towels, linen and utilities included, except for a long winter let.

Notes: The studio is in a quiet wooded cul de sac a comfortable walk from the centre of town. The owner's house has a large colourful garden with many shrubs and fruit trees. Outside the studio entrance is a private area for parking, plus a your own terrace with table and chairs. The first floor accommodation has a bright and airy feel with tasteful modern decoration and furnishings. There is a spacious shower room with an excellent power shower.

Golf Information: Kinsale Golf Club (00353 21 4772199) has 18 and 9 hole courses. Twenty minutes away is the world top 100, Old Head Course (00353 21 4778444) and half an hour to the east is Fota Island (4883710). Other courses are at Killarney, Glengariff, Bantry, Skibbereen, Blarney, etc.

Day trips: Kinsale is an ideal base for visiting many of the special places in Cork and Kerry. Blarney is about 40 minutes, Killarney about 90, Fota 30 minutes Glandore 60 and Schull or Bantry about 75 minutes. Dingle is an OK drive for a full day's touring.Sea angling day trips and evening whale watching are available from Kinsale pier.

Ideal for short or longer stays. Comfortable beds, a lovely power shower and good basic cooking facilites, all within a short walk of picturesque Kinsale. Perfect for touring West Cork or just enjoying Kinsale itself.

Good, basic ammenities. Clean and tidy. Very nice locality. Bit of a haul up the hill when walking but not too tough. Owners welcoming and keep a friendly distance to allow you freedom, but on hand to answer any queries.
We had a wonderful stay and appreciated the garden for a pre dinner drink. The area is splendid with many walks and drives to local beaches which were so romantic and calm.There are many places to visit within a half days drive. I rate the accomodation highly and the overall area as well. The best holiday by far for many a year.
