The apartment is situated in the prestigious Blackrock area of Dublin, and is within easy reach of the city centre (3 miles) by rail (DART) and Dublin Bus minutes from the property. Co. Wicklow (The Garden of Ireland) is less than 30 minutes drive. Secure underground parking for 1 car available. The sitting room/dining area which overlooks Dublin Bay, comprises of a 3-seater settee, a 2-seater settee, one armchair, coffee table, dining table/ seating four, a marble fireplace, Sky digital connected TV and entry to a balcony with views of the Bay. Direct entry via an archway to a fully fitted kitchen with electric hob, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, & microwave oven. Bedroom 1 has a bay window with beautiful views of Dublin Bay, a double bed, fully fitted wardrobes, & trouser press, & bedside tables with touch lamps. Bedroom 2 has beautiful sea views of Dublin Bay, a double bed & fully fitted wardrobes. The bathroom comprises of a four piece suite & mirrored cabinet.

Blackrock Park is directly opposite the apartment. Beyond the park is Dublin Bay with views of Howth. Dublin city and the Bailey lighthouse are illuminated after dark. The Blackrock and Frascati shopping centres are 5 mins. walk from the apartment, as is the High Street with a range of small restaurants and shops. The apartment is ideally located for touring, The Wicklow Mountains, Powerscourt Gardens, and Glendalough are all within an hours drive. The DART (train) is approximately 8 mins. walk to the station, and buses serving the city centre are minutes from the apartment.

An Excellent Choice for seeing eastern Ireland

I would very much recommend this property for anyone who plans to sightsee Dublin, County Wicklow, and the surrounding countryside. The apartment is in very good condition; the owner obviously takes pride in maintaining this property. Our party had 3 adults, and we found the apartment comfortable, clean, and very nice to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The description and photos of the property on this website are very accurate. The owner was extremely prompt and helpful in all correspondence leading up to our stay, answering our questions about the area prior to our stay, meeting us at the apartment upon our arrival, and making herself available during our stay should any issues arise.

As for location, we found it perfect for our needs. Aircoach bus line runs the Greystones line to/from the airport, with a stop only five minutes walk from the apartment. Also 5 minutes walk is a city bus stop, where multiple bus routes can take you to Dublin city. However we preferred the DART train to get to/from Dublin. The DART station is only a 10 minute walk from the apartment (can optionally walk through Blackrock park most of the way), and the DART runs frequently and late into the night. If one plans to hire a car, there is an Enterprise office about 4 km from the apartment in Dun Laoghaire. Enterprise will give you a free ride to/from the apartment to their office.

There is also plenty of shops and food close to the apartment in Blackrock. There are 2 good sized shopping centers 5 minute walk. Each shopping center has a grocery store, pharmacy, clothing stores, and more. Perfect for anything you may need. The main street running through Blackrock is only a 10 minute walk (just 5 min past the shopping centers), and offers a number of restaurants and pubs. We especially enjoyed and would recommend Jack O’Rourkes for a pint, friendly service, and decent pub food. Would also recommend Diep’s Chinese/Thai food; takeaway only but open late and good to take back to the apartment.

My family loved our 'home' in Sion Hill. Grace Rattigan The owner maintains a lovely apartment that is everything promised. Nicely furnished and well-equipped, the apartment comfortably held our group of two teens, parents and great-aunt.

The views of Blackrock Park were a great view each day and the close proximity to DART and the Blackrock Shopping Center convenient. The AIB was handy for currency exchange and the Avoca Bar a good spot for a pint and free WiFi. We also recommend Cafe Java for breakfast.

Home away from Home in Dublin

. This luxury property is perfectly situated for public transport ( a 5 min walk across the main road in front of the apartments and across the pretty park). The buses run along the main road to the city and north to the shopping centres nearby.

The apartment is well appointed and very comfortable and the description is accurate. Grace the owner was there to meet us and is the perfect host. She was quick to respond to our emails in the months leading up to our arrival and it was a pleasure dealing with such a delightful person. The apartment was spotless and warm with central heating as well as a fireplace which we used constantly. Parking is not problem , You can park outside near the apartment as well as undercover.

The only problem I can foresee for some, might be the noisy
main road. The bed in the main bedroom was also pretty uncomfortable and the mattress definitely needs to be replaced.

The suburb of Blackrock is an upmarket suburb and the people I met in this imposing block of apartments were very friendly and gracious.

Definitely a home away from home!
