The property is open plan with panoramic views over the Wicklow Mountains. There is a log burning stove in the lounge and a stanley mourne cooker in the kitchen (There is also a calor gas 4 ringed cooker). The property is located in one of the highest spots in the parish. Dublin is 1 1/2 hours driving away and the nearest beach is approximately 15 miles. Glendalough is within easy reach by car. The valley of Avoca (Ballykissangel country) is also a short drive.

The cottage is situated on a designated route of natural beauty and is on the slopes of Sliebh Bhui in the barony of Scarawalsh. There are many tourist attractions including Glendalough, Ballykissangel country and beeches all within easy reach. Dublin is approximately a one and half hour journey. Shooting, fishing and golfing are found within the area.
