Wonderful Traditional Thatched Irish Cottage

We loved our accommodations at Honey Cottage. We felt priviledged to be able to stay in this wonderfully restored thatch cottage. It was obvious to us that the owner put a lot of time, thought and money in creating a beautiful, upscale vacation respite in the middle of beautiful Donegal County.
The property is everything as described.
Very importantly, we received an excellent response to our inquiry at 9:00 pm in the evening when we thought the heating system was not working properly. The local caretaker of the property picked up our phone call and called upon the very kind gentleman who we learned was responsible for much of the restoration of the the cottage. Within 20 minutes he arrived (in a rain downpour) and patiently pointed out how the heating system worked. The fault was not in the heating system at all, but was only our unfamiliarity with how it worked.
Our memories include cooking the traditional irish breakfast in this quaint and well applianced kitchen, the wonderful warm fireplace just off the kitchen, beautiful views from the kitchen half door and the peaceful setting. We enjoyed sitting outside looking at the countryside and the ocean in the distance.
Staying at Honey Cottage was the highlight of our first, but not last visit to Ireland.
