Other local facilities include swimming with numerous beaches nearby, fishing, golf, horse riding, boat trips, cycling, hill walking. There are numerous places of beauty nearby, Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park, Killary Fjord, 12 Bens. For the more active, there are adventure centres that specialise in diving, water skiing, windsurfing, abseiling etc.

We were so impressed when we entered this house, very clean, modern, had everything in the kitchen for the cook, and loads of spare, clean white towels in the airing cupboard.
The only detail would be to leave instructions on how to use the hotwater heating system, as the week we were there it was very wet.
The location above all was fantastic, considering the only views of the sea were from the top bedroom. Directly across the road was the most wonderful bar, with fantastic seafood every day, music 3 evenings a week, and very friendly staff who made us feel that we had lived there forever.
2 minutes up the road was the riding stables where our kids hung out every day. We did the beach trek and it was amazing!
We have 2 kids 9 and 6 years old and in a week of non-stop rain, not once did they get bored. Our week was spent walking, horseriding, sightseeing and more horseriding! Never mind all the food and great Guinness!
We took the boat to the island, hired bikes and spent the day exploring there, again really memorable.
We will be back! Thankyou!
