Traditional stone cottage in beautiful West Kerry

Direen is a traditional 2 storey stone built cottage, renovated to modern day standards by extending the back for extra accommodation. The original style of the cottage has been maintained, with 2 open fires to add comfort, alongside the oil-fired central heating. This is a cosy cottage for winter rental. Timber and tiles have been used throughout for the flooring which both retain the character of the cottage as well as provide for a clean house. The cottage sleeps 7, with the ground floor adapted for wheelchair access. There is a shed alongside, with chest freezer and ample space for outdoor gear. Situated on 1 acre, a small stream, field and trees make this a very peaceful property.

Direen Cottage is situated in the Cloghane area of the Dingle Peninsula on the edge of Brandon Bay; 22 miles from Tralee and 20 minutes over the beautiful Conor Pass to Dingle. Sea, mountains and open countryside make up the majestic scenery viewed from the cottage. Direct flights with Ryanair and Aer Arann bring you to Kerry Airport, 50 minutes drive from Direen Cottage. Shannon and Cork Airports are both 100 miles and car journey takes approximately 2 and half hours (Renters wanting to benefit from cheap flights from Stansted to Kerry, Cork or Shannon would be interested in B and B and parking at Puttocks Farm near Stansted
