Details about the area: Sandymount is located between 4 and 5 km south east of Dublin City, with a promenade along which the coast road runs from Sandymount Strand down to Merrion Gates. It lies a little south of the Great South Wall in Dublin Bay. Neighbouring suburbs are Ballsbridge, Merrion and Donnybrook. The area is served by the (DART) commuter rail system and two stops are located in the area, Sandymount and Sydney Parade. It is served by Dublin Bus routes 2, 3 and 18. The Aircoach private coach service, running from Greystones to Dublin Airport, has two stops in Sandymount Sandymount is an affluent suburb with many large houses, mostly dating from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Sandymount Green is a triangular park in the centre of Sandymount, located right next to the village. Some rather fine houses (part of the former Sandymount Castle) and some cafés and shops surround the green, and there is a bust of William Butler Yeats in the green.

We had a wonderful time, it was so fantastic to just cross the road to the beach, the kids loved it ! BM London

My parents had a lovely time in your great apartment, it was so easy to get into town and they loved the restaurants nearby. They want to go back next year too. TP.

All the family had a great time, we got to see the best of Dublin and loved walking on the beach and hav a barbeque in 'Our' garden one really hot evening.The apartment was spotless and was very well equipped. We will be recommending you to our friends. KS.

We were delighted as soon as we arrived, the location is second to none and the apartment was large and nicely furnished...it was exactly as described. you can see care has been taken by the owners to ensure guests enjoy their stay.

Stay at Seaview

This was our second year staying at Seaview, once again a brilliant year. Weather was fantastic for a walk along the beach, our little dog loved it. Sandymount Village has everything that you need, which is just 5 minutes walk, beautiful bar lunches in Sandymount House. Transport into Dublin City Centre is right on the doorstep, and have easy access for disabled passengers in wheelchairs. People are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. We stayed in the garden apartment and would highly recommend Seaview for a family holiday, the apartment was very clean and very well equipped, parking off main for the garden apartment. Easy access for disabled and very pet friendly. Easy for touring Dun Laoghaire and Wicklow by car or train. Once again would highly recommend Seaview and we are hoping to go back next year. Family from Ayrshire,Scotland.

A home away from home - only better!

We stayed in this beautifully furnished two bedroomed apartment and just loved it. After a full day sight seeing we just loved that the television had all the channels, the kitchen had a microwave and the beds were comfortable. The first thing that hit us about this apartment was that the furniture, pictures, lights, etc. were all new so there was a lovely clean feel about the place. The owner was very helpful giving us advice on good restaurants, places of interest, prices, etc.

The bus to the city centre leaves from a stop seconds from the house. It couldn't have been more convenient. There is a lovely beach with great nature walks just in front of the house and Sandymount village which has absolutely everything is just a five minute walk away.

We really enjoyed our stay from start to finish and we would strongly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a stress free holiday.

A lovely place to stay

Our youngest son started in university in Dublin so we thought it was as good a reason as any to visit him. It was our first time in Ireland so we weren't too sure what to expect. We couldn't have been more impressed with the standard of our accommodation, the accessibility to the city centre, the beautiful beach just in front of the house, the quaint little village with pretty little shops, restaurants and pubs and the proximity to Trinity College where Douglas was studying. We had planned everything before we left home so everything just fell neatly into place because of the location of this apartment. We found the prices expensive in Ireland as a rule but at least by staying here we cut down on the cost of car hire, we ate in alot because of the space and facilities in the apartment and just had a lovely time without breaking the bank. We were lucky with the weather too which was a real bonus.

We had heard mixed reviews about holidaying in Ireland but we are happy to tell everyone that we had a wonderful holiday and we hope to come back soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first trip abroad to Dublin! Finding the Sandymount apartment allowed us to enjoy the sights and fun of the city and then relax back in the village in the evenings. The grocery stores, restaurants, hardware store, and park added to the convenience and charm. We had two nights out in the local restaurants for dinner and enjoyed wonderful food and service. The property was cozy and well kept and Iverna did a great job of coming to our "rescue" on a couple of occasions when we had become confused.We had wonderful sunny weather and truly enjoyed our morning walks to the village or down the seawall walk. I have shared our experience with many friends and have recommended they contact Iverna. I hope we can go back again! It was a delight!
