Immaculate, Beautiful home, Superb Location

Family of Five Surrey, England
Review Submitted: May 27, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Caher Lodge. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and so helpful during our stay. The home is in a quiet, safe location yet easily accessible to town and nearby sea villages. Our children loved the clean, indoor heated pool. We all enjoyed the stunning views on the drive from Glengariff to the picturesque town of Kenmare. Our only regret is we wished to have stayed longer! We have already highly recommended this property to a friend and hope to return again ourselves.

A welcoming and relaxing holiday

The house is lovely, well designed and beautifully kept. We were all very comfortable. The views and the peace and tranquility were exactly what we hoped for. The owner gave us a great welcome and was most helpful throughout the stay. Having a private swimming pool added so much to the holiday. A stay at Caher Lodge is highly recommended.

A fantastic property in a stunning location.

Review Submitted: February 23, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
As a family of 11 who have regularly stayed in some fantastic houses all over Ireland, I can honestly say that Caher Lodge surpasses all others. The house is just perfect. There are four en-suite bedrooms consisting of a twin downstairs and 3 family rooms (double and single) upstairs. Two of the upstairs bedrooms have balconies overlooking Bantry Bay. The bedrooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated. The beds are very comfortable with clean crisp white linen. The kitchen is a fantastic entertaining kitchen with a great big table that seats 8 very comfortably. There is also a breakfast island that seats 4. The TV room has leather sofas and a big open fire. Every TV station under the sun was available, not that we spent much time watching TV, as there are too many other amazing things to do! The swimming pool is absolutely fantastic. We spent most of our time either in the pool or on the tennis court. If you can tear yourself away from the house and spectacular view there are some amazing drives within an hours drive from the house. If you ever get the chance to stay at Caher Lodge you must take it, you will not be disappointed. We most certainly will be returning!

Relaxing family holiday

Working Mum London
Review Submitted: January 28, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2008
I had 2 non negotiables for our holiday. It had to cater for 8 people and have an indoor pool and to be honest that was what first attracted us to Caher lodge. The web site photos looked amazing, but I never believe all that I see on the web. It wasn't therefore until arrival at the Lodge that not only were the photos accurate but the place was even better than I could have imagined. The house itself is immaculate. Light, airy, clean and comfortable. There is a big table for family meals and I am sure if the weather had been better we would have made good use of the barbecue.

The whole family virtually lived in the pool which was warm and clean with the older members making full use of the steam room. When the weather did clear the tennis courts proved popular.

In terms of location, it is a great base to set out from. Bantry is just down the road and offers some really good restaurants or somewhere to pick up victuals if you want to cater for yourself. The views from the house are stunning.

So whether you want a base for touring or somewhere just to cut yourself off from the world this is perfect.
