Located in Tragumna Bay and adjacent to the sandy Blue Flag Beach, The Haven consists of 3 double bedrooms, en-suite with TV/phone points, 1 twin & 1 triple (bunks & 1 single) bedrooms with TV/phone points and 2 WC's. Bedrooms are furnished with hotel quality beds and free standing waxed pine wardrobes, chested drawers & bedside lockers. A modern fully fitted kitchen cum dining room, with all mod cons incl. a butcher-block worktop, has french doors leading out to a large decked area and garden. Off the kitchen there is a large utility room and a W.C. From the kitchen there are double doors leading to a spacious southfacing lounge room with an open fireplace and bay window with seaviews. Large french doors lead out to the large decked area. In the roomy hallway a beautifully crafted spiral staircase leads to the upstairs, where there is a large southfacing open plan living room with spectacular sea views and a wooden stove to add comfort and atmosphere in the evening

  • All rates inclusive of heat and lights charges and local calls. Groups in excess of 11persons can be accommodated but will incur a higher tariff. Discounts apply for late bookings or those in excess of 2 weeks. A Bank Holiday rate of €150 per night will apply- bookings for Easter are charged the same tariff as peak i.e.€1450). A non-refundable 20% booking deposit is required to secure dates with the balance payment to be received 6 weeks prior to requested date/s. Please enquire further for details.
    A refundable security deposit of €150/STG£100 must also be given at the start of any stay.

  • Guests note that for 2007 SKY digital is being installed as well as a LCD TV in the family room. Other improvements are also planned to ensure that your stay at The Haven is the ultimate home away from home experience. Also note that the house is well equipped for younger children with a highchair, booster chair, travel cot and toys; we also have a selection of board games and children's videos and PlayStation games and a good choice of reading material [for the mums and dads!]. We also keep four kid's deckchairs in the shed out in the yard as well as an inflatable pool [at least it was inflatable the last time we looked!]. There is also kiddy friendly plates, bowels and tumblers in the utility room.

Notes: The property is furnished to an exceptionally high standard, with wooden floors & solid pine doors throughout. The kitchen & utility are designed to suit the needs of families and both are completely fitted out with all mod cons-a home away from home!. The property is southwest facing and has a wonderful feeling of space and comfort. Directly opposite there is a large slipway for bringing boats onto the bay. This further enhances the sea views currently enjoyed while sitting in the downstairs bay window, watching the world drift idly by...... The lounge and kitchen lead out onto a large recently constructed decked area, which has solid wood garden furniture and a gas BBQ. There is a large wooden swingset adjacent to the decked area. The property is in off the road with parking for 5 cars. **A 32'LCD TV and Sattelite cable have been installed for 2007 and there is also a DVD/VCR player; in addition to a stereo system and books/games. There are also beanbags in the family room.

Superb property in Trag

Tragumna is a lovely unspoiled part of West Cork and an ideal base to explore the region or indeed ideal for a quiet getaway. This was our fifth stay in Trag and extended family decided to join us. There was 10 of us in all including two babies (who were both well catered for). This house was perfect for us, location was great - two minute walk to the lovely safe beach, one minute ramble across the road to the Eagle for a pint, the house is really spacious and not once did we feel we were on top of each other. The family room upstairs is really useful, there are plenty of bathrooms and the kitchen is well equipped. The house is general is extremely well equipped - a home from home really. We cooked each night and had all we needed whether we were eating inside or barbecuing outside. There is a lovely deck at the side of the house and lots of grass areas for little ones to safely play and run around. House is really well laid out and very comfortable. Lots of clean bedding and towels. The owners sister in law is two doors up the hill and very helpful if anything is needed. I would highly recommend this house to families or groups of friends.
